Gas cap lock mechanism stuck - complaining within
#81
Here 'tis
My fuel door actuator had failed in the lock positon, luckily I was in my driveway when discovered it and not on the road somewhere without any tools. I followed the procedures posted here on the forum and removed the assembly but I am thinking that I should replace the actuator. I am not finding anything for part number fuel door actuator 22847380 is that the correct part number?
BTW here are the tools you will need to remove the fuel door actuator: 19 mm socket for the wheel lugs, T15 Torx, 7mm and 10 mm, sockets and smaller flat screw driver for inner fender, remove actuator and arm assembly (in snaps in) use a small screw driver to unlatch electrical connector. I was never able to extend the actuator to the open positon so I reinstalled it without the arm.
