Still no incentives on the left over 17s?
Keep kicking around the idea of getting the wife a 17, but the prices are ridiculous. The 18s are out, and priced the same as the 17s.

What is a ridiculous price to you?

I've been looking too. I see a lot of 10 percent off msrp but I see that on both 17s and 18s. I was hoping to do the 15-20% off msrp on the 17s like we saw last summer around this time. Perhaps they aren't doing them yet because the plant is shut down for a while. We shall see...

Don't expect much while the factory is closed for the next few months. Supply and demand at work here...No new supply will quell the discounts temporarily.

I've watched the market for the last couple of months. Cars.com had over 12,xxx Corvettes listed. I checked again yesterday and it's still over 12,xxx.
I was told by a Sales Mgr at a bigger Dealership that GM put big incentives on their Trucks and SUv's for July/Aug and will switch to Corvettes/Camaro's next month. We shall see. But with Fall fast approaching they better do something!

Except there isn't much demand. July was the lowest month for sales in 2017.

We just bought a 2017 Malibu. Last month GM was offering $3500 cash back. This month they are offering 20% off MSRP which is close to $5500 on the same car.

With these 20% off MSRP deals from GM, is there still room to bargain any further or is that truly the lowest they can go?
Has there ever been a nation wide 20% off Corvette incentive? I'm in the market for one myself and I've only found that MacMulkin did it last year as a "only at our dealership" type thing.

^^^ I think that if I were to get 20% off I wouldn't even worry about trying to negotiate anything more, that's already very impressive.

MacMulkin has 13-14% off select C7's. 2018's are 10% off. So that's an additional 3-4% off if you can find a car you like.
But yeah incentives have been tough for a few months, I would think it will start improving once we get closer to Fall/Winter. But with the plant shutdown for months to come nobody really knows.

I was shooting for 15% and settled for 13%. With the plant shut down GM isn't going to offer much for incentive. They don't need to sell cars to the dealer. There are plenty on lots. Dealers are stuck with them but can only offer so much of a discount without losing money. It's great to get a bargain. But life is short and I wanted to enjoy the car.

I was perusing cars.com yesterday for new 2016 model corvettes and was shocked by how many there are, and how high the prices were. There was a z06 I remember in particular that they stated was a demo car, and had 53xx miles on it and their price was msrp. Wtf.

My problem with that is this, I realize they are not building cars at the Plant right now. But what about in a few months when they start building them again...at the rate they are selling right now there will be thousands of Corvettes still for sale.
Those cars still need to sell before Dealers will purchase more from GM.
Plus do you think Dealers won't start pushing back against GM if they have an abundance of cars they can't move? Those cars start costing them money if they sit to long.
GM has had a few weeks and by the end of the month it will be two months of virtually no incentives to play their game. With Fall coming which traditionally leads to low sales anyway, GM will have to make a move.

I completely understand where you are coming from. However had a specific build and color I wanted along with a manual. Manuals are hard to find as it is. If your good with the auto as well as have a few color options you want then there is a good chance to find a nice 1 or 3lt/lz left. The 2lt/Lz seems to be the sweet spot for most. I was set on WG/Z07/2lz and manual so couldn't risk the wait.

Not saying you will get 20% off for a demo, but the MSRP is likely just a placeholder and there is room to negotiate.
Used cars are the same. There is almost always a good $4K+ buffer on used car prices that are listed vs what you can negotiate off.

Few months back Grand Sports were going for 12+% off. Ordered my 2017 then, anticipating the shortage of cars when GM announced the long plant shut-down!
Just looked and you're correct the 2017 and 2018's they have in stock are ~7% off! Bet if they took your order for one you want built (the way I have bought my 5 Vettes) it would a Christmas present!
Things could change but when you think you can sell most of what you have in stock before you can get more, why not raise the price
Perhaps you can find a dealer who needs to pay the bank for his over subscribed floor plan etc and get a deal for one they have in stock.
There is a high end used car lot in town with Porsche, AMG, and even a Lambo. They usually have 3 or 4 Vettes. The other day none!
If the stock market keeps climbing may be a good year for Bowling Green despite the shut down.
