Sirius Trial Period
Just bought a 2017 GS Collector Edition (#484). Called Sirius and they say free trial is 3 months. Window sticker says 3LT has "+Add'l 9 months" and Sirius says no. Anyone had this problem and know a solution? Dealer is clueless.

SXM tried that on my 17 GS (2LT). I called them up and read the notation in the sales brochure to them and they corrected the situation by creating a new 1 year account for me and cancelling the current account. They did not argue with me about it which surprised the heck out of me.
Go online and set-up a XSM account so you can check what is really going on.

A word of caution to anyone dealing with Sirrius XM, DO NOT give them your credit card number. Pay by check. If you ever decide to dump Sirrius XM you will find they are very difficult to deal with. I was fortunate that I never shared my credit card with them so they could only collect money via the mail and a paper bill.
Despite informing them that I was cancelling my subscription, they maintained the connection to the Corvette and continued to send bills. Despite informing them a second time that I had cancelled, they continued the service and increased the bill, claiming payment was late. Finally, four months after I notified them of the cancellation and refusing to pay their last bill, they notified me that due to lack of payment, they were cancelling the subscription and they did...., but sent another bill.
Next Sirrius contacts us about our Lexus, claiming that we are entitled to a 6 month trial subscription for $30. I inform them I'm not interested after the Corvette mess. They send me a notice that if I don't act now, they will withdraw the trial subscription offer. Good, I ignore that message and didn't act. So this is over, right? Wrong, they call me again informing us that we have a trial subscription. I told them again, not interested, told them about the mess trying to cancel the Corvette subscription and didn't want to deal with them again. Thought I was done. NOPE!, now they send us a bill for the Lexus subscription we never activated, never wanted. Really angry, I called and told them they never provided the service, never linked the Lexus to their signal and no way was I going to pay their bill. They connected me with a "Cancellation Specialist" who proceeded to make all kinds of offers to get us to connect the Lexus and give them our credit card info. After refusing to connect five times, she started her speal again and I hung up.
I've omitted some of the stunts they pulled, but I'm done with Sirrius and I'll never, never ever give them a credit card number.

Oh they will give you a special price but you are agreeing to renew at their crazy list prices. Unlike magazine subscriptions that do something similar but don't bug you after a few letters saying, "late payment notice," these folks will get intimidating, talk about your credit rating or something similar. When I canceled, the phone number I was given to call changed. Finally got the correct number but appears to me they purposely make it difficult.
But I am not getting it for your reason, too many back sides of hits. Was not even successful switching from best hits in different decades.
CURRENT MO:
In my 2014 C7 and now my Grand Sport I have a flush mount thumb drive playing over 1000 songs in shuffle mode as soon as I start the car. No back sides of hits, only songs I want! If I want to skip a song, just pull the upper lever on the left of the steering wheel. If I want to hear Meatloaf or Janis Joplin sing the song again pull the bottom lever on the left of the wheel just before it finishes!

I just had, what I would say, was a good experience dealing with them.
When the companies were separate, I purchased a portable XM radio and paid $459 for a lifetime subscription. When I got my 2005 Mercedes (after the XM Sirius merger) I requested that the lifetime sub be transferred to that car. They would not do it saying that a portable ratio sub couldn't be transferred to a car.
In my Vette, transferred my Jaguar sub to the Vette and that sub was expiring. I called them an asked to have the lifetime sub on a portable radio I no longer had transferred to the Vette. THEY DID IT!!! Of course they charged me $80 but I will have no more payments.....

I may be wrong, but doesn't the invoice say that they can even debit your account in the future with the account numbers located at the bottom of you check?
Seems the best bet is to go money order only.

Even if you use whatever foolproof method to pay, be sure to cancel 30 days before!

It is rather disappointing that SiriusXM has such great radio and such terrible customer service. All the trial this and discount that for this long. I have fought with them myself. When Howard goes, I probably will as well.
