Car Insurance Poll
Over the last 18 months insurance on my C7 has increased 25%. To say I'm not happy is an understatement. This in spite of the fact no accidents, no tickets.
I am about to shop for a new insurance company but would like to know what others are paying per year.
Select the range that best matches your annual premium.

It's kinda useless without knowing the coverage and drivers history.

Insurance rates are VERY difficult to compare, with many factors that have nothing to do with the individual. Just as one example, my insurance company charges different rates depending in which county you reside. So even if you found "cheap," your rate could be vastly different. You also have to consider the veracity of the answers.

This poll, like all other insurance polls is meaningless. There are way too many factors that determine your rate. Where you live, your credit score, what discounts you qualify for (multivehicle, home and auto, etc.), your coverages, deductibles, etc. Not to mention how the car is used. Mine is a daily driver, so I pay more than many of the garage queens that have insurance from Haggerty or the NCM.

Two cars and house with State Farm, over 65 years old, low mileage discount = $ 640 annual premium in the Atlanta metro area on a 2017 Stingray. State Farm gives Corvettes
an "A" insurance rating across the board.

A general comment that ALL insurance companies are having rate increases on auto and home insurance due to the increased number of accidents(due to electronic device distractions) and auto damage due to storms (like tornado, hurricanes, falling trees...)
My rates have gone from $900 for 6 months for 3 cars to $1200 over the past several years.... Same with home insurance. The Stingray is about $500/6 months, and I have multiple discounts .
As stated, you need to list your coverages to really compare.
I have high liability coverage of $250,000/$500,000/$100,000 to tie in to my Umbrella policy.

Funny that I traded my 2003 Mercedes SL500, nearly 15 years old and worth maybe $16K tops for an $80K MSRP Stingray vert, and my insurance bill went DOWN.

NCM $804 annually.
The other six vehicles are with USAA.
USAA has a collector car affiliate but it was about $400 more than NCM.
this is probably enough information to allow you to compare apples to oranges. I would be happy to tell you more specifics though if you think it would be helpful.

I'm in a high rate state. 3 cars and house, vette is $1,100 per yr. (i've had $2,600 quotes as well so $1,100 great around here). Also, not really $1,100 as I store the vette and Camaro 5 months out of the yr and get a refund of $500-$600 for each car for those 5 months. So for 7 months, the vette is about $600.
A bit confusing but hope it helps

My premium also went down when I bought the silver C7. It was less than $50, but down is down. My latest premium was down $37...clean license, no accidents. No claims in over a year so I'm happy.

Perfect driving record and no accidents. $400 bucks every 6 months for both vehicles.
I switch back and forth from Geico to USAA about every 2 years. I was with Geico and was paying approx. $1300 per year for both my 2010 Escalade and 2015 Z06. Later I switched to USAA for $1000 per year, then just last week, I went back to Geico for $800 per year.
Each time I called, each company could not lower my premium more than a few hundred dollars so it was cheaper to just switch. I kept all the same coverage so I know that was not a factor. Considering I am only paying approx. $400 every 6 months for both vehicles, a 20 minute phone call was well worth my time. I figured after a year or two when rates starts to climb, I will call USAA back and switch again.

I have been with State Farm since 1967 when I got insurance on my new Z-28 Camaro. I have multiple vehicles, home insurance, and an umbrella policy. I have checked on other companies, but have yet to find one for less when considering all of the policies.

I usually check with the top 8 or so insurance companies for all my insurance needs to compare with my current auto, home, business, & personal items insurance, all at USAA, every 4 - 5 yrs, over the past 30 yrs.
Just had latest quotes earlier this, & even USAA prices have increased over the years, still no other ins companies are able to compete on price. Service has also been excellent also.

Igodom,
I was hesitant the first several times as well. I was also very angry that I have been with them over 10 years and their lack of effort to reduce cost to something more comparable. They just stated the area dictates the rates a lot and just check back with them after 6 months. Either way, cutting my insurance cost almost in half was a no-brainer. Both USAA and Geico are reputable so I will just play their game every 2 years or so. I made sure not to get their introductory discount so that usually buys me time before I get frustrated with any increases over time.
