The '15 I just bought was put into service in Sept 14.... I believe I have the 2014 map....really outdated... the SW info screen reports only that the map is 23431286...... can anyone confirm the version of map I have or point me to a site that lists the version by the SW level the display gives me... thanks....

BTW.... the "Software Version" showing is 23493441..... is that up to date!?

I ordered the 2017 version of the maps for my '15 ($159 BTW) and spent the better part of an hour installing it. I was sorely disappointed in the maps not having major highways that have been under construction FOREVER and have been opened for enough time to be included.

Maybe next time I'll wait 4 years.

That is why I am awaiting the 2018 version.... they have "sale prices" now on the 2017 version so when 2018 comes out, I will get it.... our Nav is kinda lame but at least it is integrated ....LK

THe Software Information display is almost worthless as is since the number it shows as "Version" does not correspond to anything that owners can reference.... at least have not been able to piece it together yet....smile...

I have the nav and I like it - what exactly is it missing that makes it "lame"?

I will leave the "lame" comment for others that have voiced issues to answer.... to me the '15 version is lacking vs. '16+ and I am hoping that the inability for the Nav to find locations/POIs is a function of being an outdated DB.... which I will remedy with a v.2018 when it becomes available....

As I said, it is integrated well but watching the NCM 1 hour presentation on Nav greatly helped filling in some functions and features that are not exactly intuitive.... a great thing to watch....the slides were also particulary useful as the video tried to get both the speaker and the slides.....LK

BTW... still trying to find a way to delete "Recent Destinations" and contacts from previous owner without doing factory reset.... afraid it will knock out the XM Travel Link etc..... can anyone detail how to do that..... so far no success....
