In 2014 when I ordered, I chose a Z51 option with all performance goodies in a 2LT with most 3LT options excluding interior trim. I'd love PDR and front cameras that were added later, however.
Ordered my 3LT GS exactly they I wanted it.....no regrets....been down that road before. I would change nothing!
6 weeks is no big deal to wait to get exactly what you want, IMO. In my case a 2LT as I didn't need/want the options that come with the 3LT. In 3 weeks have already upgraded to a 2.5 LT by adding a Red Upper Dash Pad (that I think looks better than the added red over the glove compartment in the 3LT -but aesthetics are subjective,) made a holder to put my Garmin in the Cubby and lower the screen when needed for NAV or want to know the speed limit on the road I am on, Stage 3 winglets and other mostly cosmetic mods not available from GM!
Grand Sport, M7, Stage 2 Aero, Machined Faced Wheels many minor mods.
I have ordered every one of my Corvettes. I hate not getting exactly what I want.
My 2018 GS is ordered the with everything I wanted as far as options - I would have really liked the dark gray interior, but you can't get that on a GS, so I had to settle for black.
Ordered exactly as I wanted (3LT, AW over AR, virtually all options) including Buyer's Tour at Bowling Green to watch My Car being built, and Museum Delivery, so I had the Full Experience.
Partial regrets: Comp seats which I think are not quite as comfy as GT seats, and did not find out until later that the leather is not quite as nice as the 3LT GT seats, but those Competition Seats really do look terrific. Also would have liked the GS Wheels, but GS was not available when I ordered. On the fence about having ordered the Auto, may have liked the Manual better. However, I know I like the Convertible better!

Let me uplift your regret by swapping my gt seats + cash for ur comp seats 😅
Ordered new: 2016 Blade silver/adrenaline red interior, Z51, 2LT, A8. Spent everything I could afford. Sold 370Z, loan, & $ from savings! Love the car...btw, I did add STINGRAY to the windshield, my only mod.
For me I think I would have ordered a blue top instead of black?
Oooohhh don't tell me that now. I struggled with this decision a looong time before finally deciding to go with the black top on my 2017 similar to yours... AB, white stripe, red 3LT interior, black wheels.
If I had chrome wheels the blue top may have been OK but I thought perhaps the black top would sync better with the black wheels.
Too late now anyway. My R8C Museum Delivery is TOMORROW!!!
I regret not getting the competition seats but it worked out since I did the swap. The final cost actually came out to be cheaper than ordering from the factory.
I got really lucky, and found used with 1300 miles. Things it had that were must have for me, and I would not have bought without: 7M, npp, msrc, Z51 package, 3LT, black wheels, flat bottomed steering wheel, carbon fiber dash.
Things it didn't have I'm adding: side skirts, maybe black spoiler and mirrors.
Things I would have ordered if ordered from scratch: Suede inserts on seats, carbon fiber roof, dual roof package, red stitching
First color choice was DSOM, 2nd - blade silver. Got Arctic White, and I'm really loving the color.
Was originally thinking of a 2016 base.
I knew I wanted 2LT, NAV, NPP, MSRC, A8 and was thinking of going Silver.
After doing more research and price comparison I then wanted Z51, Shark Gray/Kalahari and Carbon Flash badging.
Bought off the lot at MacMulkin with everything I wanted and glad I went with the Z51 option
I got a 3LT off the lot at a great discount. The only thing it did not have was the jake stinger, carbon flash spoiler and side mirrors, and MSRC. I added the stinger and will paint the spoiler. Can't have MSRC, obviously. But I'm OK with it. My last Vette was a 1LT so more goodies in this one than I know what to do with.
