Default NEW PRODUCT -- A8 Transmission Pan

Hi Guys,

Large Capacity A8 Transmission pan NOW available and ready to ship.

Holds nearly 1 gallon more than stock, increasing the amount of fluid will allow better heat removal from the Transmission AND the Torque Converter.

We also have the same upgrade for the A6 Transmission so all C7s are addressed.

Transmission cooling is enhanced by having extra fluid to remove the heat from the whole system.

Very reasonably priced, and much cheaper than a transmission or a Torque Converter. Our complete cooling package from front to back has allowed the C7 to take its place as king of the track days.

Give us a call at LG Motorsports

How much does it reduce ground clearance? How about some comparison pictures of OEM and your pan installed on cars?

Zero Change in ground clearance.

I have been racing cars for years and I would never compromise ground clearance.

And you guys don't have to hide under a chair when you ask a really good question

I had issues with the A6 transmission overheating from our first day on track. Our A6 pan plus a cooler solved it. We do our testing at Motorsports Ranch which is 1.7 miles and 11 corners.
I may be harder on a car than most when I'm testing but that is how we find a weak points.

The A6 pan adds 1 gallon the A8 pan adds just under 1 gallon.

Thanks

Lou G

thanks Lou -

As always first class in service and response, glad to know the option is there and the ground clearance is not compromised . . .

Also, just because you don't put the car in limp mode doesn't mean the trans is staying cool enough for trans longevity.

My only concern is with the TC issues I don't want to compromise warranty. Any thoughts?

That is the same reason I don't immediately pull the trigger on this. My tranny was replaced @ 100 miles on the clock and I got an extended warranty as I have no confidence in the A8.

I would say that since there is no core and you keep your old pan - if your tranny starts getting the A8 problems - tow it to your house and swap the pan back to the original one and get it towed to the dealer. Now I will be flamed by all the goodie two shoes out there...

So I gots to ask - what's this cost? Does it come with a new gasket? What is the part number for the new fluid that GM recommends as part of the A8 shutter cure? How many quarts are needed?

I am an optimist so I think this will cure some of the A8 issues. (then GM will do something similar and won't send us a Thank you card )

But I digress. I can only tell you what the pan does and the positive aspects of it.
More cooling oil is a good thing. We also have a larger Trans cooler too if that is something that you want. the pan is under $450 but by putting the price, I may be violating a Forum rule. If so, the moderator can delete the price for me.

IF two of you want to be the testers, I will pay for Shipping then you can report back to the forum with your results.

Call us and let my Salesmen know that I offered this to 2 Forum members.

thanks

Will your Camaro A6 pan fit a Pontiac G8 GT?

Do larger capacity pans work? Of course. I trailered my wife's B'ville racer up and down the Rockies with my 1/2 ton Ram in August. Equipped with a gallon-over tranny pan it wouldn't even get to the factory recommended lube-checking heat-range. Truly!

I am most interested in this transmission pan. Has anyone installed this product on their C7? What was your experience?
