Did you move up from a C6 (or earlier C) to a C7

My first was a 1999 black c5 coupe wish I still had some pics of it but can't seem to find any.
Second was a 2006 machine silver coupe
Third and current 2014 blade silver coupe

I traded my C6 Z06 for a P.E. Vert. It was trade at that point and spend very little to have owned the Z06, or just keep the Z06 for a long time (which was never the idea when purchased).
But I kept my '05, so now I have the best of both worlds, IMO.

I loved my 2002 ZO6. The C6 ZO6 and 427 seemed like nice cars but were too much like my C5Z to make me want to buy one. As soon as the C7 came out the C5 and C6 looked dated. I resisted the urge for a couple years but finally sold the C5Z and bought a 17 GS. The C7 really is a better car.

C6 to c7
I has a C6 won lot of car shows with it. Sold it with 8,800 miles on it. Just purchased a C72016 last year would never go back to the C6. Loved it, but this one lot better.

Skipped the c6 generation. Traded my 2004 z06 for a 2014 Stingray. Ordered the 2004 in 2003, drove it 10 years, then ordered the 2014.

I had an '06 Coupe and regrettably had to sell it....it was a year and a half before I was able to buy my new loaded 2016 Z51. I never imagined how any car could be that much better than my C6, but once I got inside the C7, I understood what all the positive chatter was all about.
The car is a marvel to drive.

There are few that don't draw attention.
One of my first drives into Atlanta in my Atomic Orange C6 I wound up stuck in downtown traffic. I was astonished with the looks and a couple of guys taking pictures.
I always wanted red but fell in love with the AO. I thought the C7 would be red but fell in love with the Laguna Blue. Maybe the C8

I've had several Corvettes from each generation from C2-C7. C7 is the latest and greatest! OP if you get a C7 you will not miss your C6!

I'm surprised at how "alone" I am. I have a 2014 z51 3LT w/ mag ride. I've swapped in an MGW shifter and LG sways; no other mods. We kept a c5 z06 that's modded to the point where I'm contentedly finished... PFADT shocks and sways, MGW shifter, LT headers, Callaway CAI, McLeod RST, Lwt flywheel, RPM 4.10s, and a Chuck CoW tune.
I'm just back from 4,000 miles of driving; I used the z51 for the interstate cruising, and I got used to, and very comfortable with, all the modern luxury, handling, and electronics the 3LT has to offer. It's quick, handles superbly (especially in Tr mode with TC-off and Wet-handling set--[Thank you, Foosh]), and is extremely comfortable. Gas mileage avg'd 28.4mpg if anyone's counting.
But I drove the c5 z06 to the Post Office to pick up the "vacation-hold" mail--just to get the fluids circulating and run them all through a heat cycle... no hill-assist, no rev-matching, "no" comfort... 30 miles on the freeway round-trip. It really surprised me--that drive put a shipt-eatin' grin on my face. 'WAY less "nannies" to help me or influence the ride and control, the c5 z06 is just a lot more fun even though it prolly ain't as fast and certainly can't handle turns as well. I know it can't do what the '14 z51 can do in the rain, and yet, if I had to keep one for an intrastate DD, I'd prolly keep the 2003. The ride is just so much more raw and violent. For interstate cruising my joints and back appreciate the newer c7 interior. Make no mistake, I'm smilin' all the time in the c7--but the 'heavily-modded' c5 busts me out with an exhilarating laugh every time I step into it. I'm glad we were able to keep it, too.

Prior to buying a '15 I'd owned two C2s and a few C3s (nothing newer than '72). Drove a '97 once and had never driven a C4 or C6. Bought my '15 without having driven a C7. Like Ben Shockley said to Gus Mally "I'll take it on faith". It's much better than I expected.
