A couple of things I liked better on the C6 vs C7

I never use the analog speedo on the C7. They should have just LCD the whole thing and gave option for traditional C6 style gauges there. You can have the dam current speed in three locations at any given time lol.
it rides rougher but I went from F55 08 c6 to the Z06.
And space is tighter.
other than that not a thing I would want different love my C7

Only thing I miss is the turn signal indicators in the HUD. Everything else is better in the C7.

That was my impression of the current C7 Z06. The C7 Z51 rides a bit firmer than the C6 non Z51, but that's to be expected and actually the car rides vey well, much better than the Z06 I rode in did (which I presume is similar to the current GS ride).
The interior is beautiful, but tighter than the C6, less legroom to my perception and more claustrophobic, but that's not all bad, it contributes to the smaller more sporty feel of the C7 vs. C6.
The styling of the car is less classically/consistently beautiful and true to Corvette heritage, but more dramatic and exotic looking. My only real objection is those honkin exhaust tips, I think they look awful, I'm going to eventually paint mine black or replace them with an aftermarket with black tips.
Just about everything else in the car is far superior to the C6, so those are pretty minor gripes. Love the C7, glad I upgraded, feels more like a Ferrari with a raw muscle car edge than a Corvette. So much more sophisticated and refined in every major area from handling, suspension, steering, drivetrain, interior, GM hit it out of the park with this car.

A C7Z in Tour or Eco is going to be about the same as your Z51 in Tour or Eco.

The gauge cluster on my '05 C6 was perfect IMO, the best one I've ever seen in an auto. Plain old round dials, nicely back lit, with real numbers instead of just "C" (cold) "H" (hot), etc. I also liked that they were all round and in only two sizes, large for speedo and tach, small for all other gauges. While I like the user configurability of the C7's center cluster, I'm not crazy about the layout in sport mode. The pocket gauges thing isn't nearly as clean as the C6 gauges. I also miss the power hatch pulldown. (Mine is a '15.) That's pretty much it. My Stingray is hands down the best car I've ever owned; I love it.

On my C5 I knew that if something fell between the seats and tranny tunnel it wouldn't be mission impossible to retrieve it, now anything less than a dollar coin stays there until the next spring cleaning.

I didn't know that the radio would do that.

Probably because you were the passenger and not the driver. There isn't a big difference in ride quality between the two cars when they are in Tour and Eco.

Even though I don't often use them, I like the way they look in the front bumper. The design engineers could have added them and made them look nicely integrated into the bumper. They should have been at least an option on the C7.

Guess we are pretty lucky people to even be able to debate and evaluate such things. I know people without Corvettes, glad I'm not one of them. Deciding between a Focus or a Cruze would be difficult for me.

I do miss the fog lights.
When it's foggy, I take the C6 for a spin. The rest of the time, I'm a happy camper.

I had both a C6 Z51 and a C6 Z06, and enjoyed them both. However, there is nothing I liked better about them than the C7.

What do I miss in my C7 that I had in my two previous C6's? Uhhh... Let me think...
Sorry! I miss nothing!!
Having said that there is something I miss in my C5, I don't have in my C7. Comfortable seats. My 2002 C5 sport seats were far more comfortable than the seats in my C6's, and WAY more comfortable than my C7.
Or maybe... Me and my butt are just getting older...

First, I prefer the start and quick light off that my LS2 has, and then I really miss that 500 rpm rumble while it idles. The LT1 spins like a 70's Chrysler during its start cycle and then it's higher rpm idle just doesn't have that sporty feel to me. Second, I really prefer the old green hud with its bigger speed number. It's easier to set at a consistent light level and easier for me to read. Lastly, and I know it's been mentioned, the C6 is easier to wash!
All that said, the C7 is just about perfect once it's in motion. The current generation of mag ride, even with the price increase, is an absolute wonder.

I still have a C6 and go back and forth b/n it and my C7. I too like the instrumentation in the C6 a lot better than the 7 (except for the HUD which is improved). Read at a glance and real time accuracy capability is better with the 6.
