How messed up is this?

Messed up
My car is black with ceramic coating. I keep it pretty clean. Fingerprints make me crazy. So...when I have to open/close the fuel door or hatch, I use a microfiber towel. When closing the door, I use the silver ring thingy on the end of the door. My wife and kids know how to enter and exit the car without leaving fingerprints, but NO ONE else has a clue (not even my colleague with a black M3!), so I end up opening and closing the door for them when they exit and enter my car -- young, old, male, female. Sometimes that's too weird and I just let the fingerprints happen -- on the door, on the passenger window, even on the roof. Of course, the whole car then has to be washed asap.
Anyhoo, rate how messed up that is on a scale of 3 to 4, where A = "I'm messed up, too, so this all sounds totally normal" and B = "That is seriously messed up"
Thank you.

It is definitely a black car thing. Black is the best color when clean, and the worst color when dirty. So, for me, it's either get black and keep it clean, or choose another color. I decided to commit to black -- not knowing that I might be committed (to a mental health facility, that is). No regrets, btw. Not yet, at least.
The rest of the car doesn't bother me. I don't care much about the interior. Even the brake dust doesn't bother me that much; I find shiny black wheels silly anyway. I want to get matte black wheels. But I digress.
And not to worry: I do drive the car. 11k miles in 12 mos. It's my DD and me and my wife love to take road trips in it. Of course, I have to wash it before and after each trip.

Clearly, some people really don't have either a sense of humor, or have never owned a black vehicle, or both.

My last several cars have been white. The Corvette is black and it really does show everything that touches it. Luckily, I don't like people in my car (passengers of course) because they BMW (Bitch-Moan-Whine) all the time so that seat is hardly ever usd. . I use the door hook to close the door. Not really concerned about fingerprints but yeah, black shows them more. My passenger door never has fingerprints. Passengers ride in my SUV or pickup.
On a side note, my brother in law is a NYC Taxi driver who has scared me in city traffic a few times. Gave him a ride in my vette and hammered around an Interstate ramp. Best part is that he begged Jesus to slow down and he is Muslim. Calling that good after I cleaned off his fingerprints.

I tape up passenger sill on my Jeep so my wife doesn't scuff it up when she gets in , not allowed to ride in my vette.

I bet the car has never gone above 2k RPMS. A prius would have been a better option for you sir.. LOL
It's a car! a fingerprint will not destroy a car! ENJOY it! We only live once..

Love black Vettes but could never own one for this exact reason. I am less OCD about cleanliness than I used to be since my Vette is my daily, but I don't really have to worry about prints as much in my arctic white. My husband had an all black ZL1 for about 6 months and it drove both of us nuts, especially in dusty Phoenix. Kudos to all of you brave souls who drive black cars!
