Just because you have a Baby Grand piano doesn't mean you know how to play it.

The "Ring" has an interesting history and has seen some rough economic times in the recent past. Hopefully it will remain open both to testing, racing and "public days". It is well worth a visit if you are ever in the area. You can also rent a car to drive it or pay for a professional driver to take you on a couple laps.
I was fortunate to be stationed fairly close to the track during my tour in Germany. Lots of good memories going up there to drive and watch the crazies try to negotiate the track. Lots of crashes.

1. God damn, that track is a death trap. It doesn't even look fun. It's so narrow and tight with walls and trees everywhere.
2. Am I the only one that watches videos of the Ring and every single time laughts thinking about how at any given moment there is likely to be a 600hp car on slicks, 90hp bone stock fwd econobox, motorcycle, and a tow truck on the track at the same time.
3. The Z51 driver obviously had better lines, but the Porsche is going to take different lines due to it having a rear engine and trail braking causing a 42% chance of instantaneous death. I'm slightly surprised the car doesn't just call an ambulance if the steering angle goes above 20% while the brake pedal is depressed and a guillotine that just saves you the suffering if the steering angle goes past 40 degrees.
