2014 C7 phone connection
Hi, I am not sure if others are having this issue, but whenever i make a call or receive a call in my car for the first 20 seconds or so, people say it sounds like i have the top off and am on a racetrack. This happens all the time even with the windows up and top on. Seems like after 20 seconds or so, it calms down and dampens the noise. Does anybody else have this issue? Not sure why I can't get a good phone connection that has noise dampening.

^^^ I agree. I haven't had any issues w/pairing or sound w/my iPhone.

The cell connection on my 2015 Z51 has never been good. Same issues as the OP. Same with either wired connection or bluetooth from an iPhone 6+.
Also, the iPhone doesn't work well at all on bluetooth re: accessing podcasts, contacts, etc. Hit or miss. I always use the USB

I am using an iPhone 6S and usually it is connected via USB. Like I said, if somebody calls me and I hit answer on the steering column, the first thing peopke say is "hey is your top off" or "man it is very loud are windows down?" Stuff lije that. Then after 20 seconds or do, the noise goes away they tell me. I can hear them fine, but just seems like something is going on in beginning if a call. Oh well.

I am using a Galaxy S6 and it integrates beautifully with the car. No complaints of noise. Easy to make calls with voice commands, caller pic displays nicely in the DIC, evertything great! My car is a 2014.
