No offense, but why is it that only "older" gents drive C7's?

I've been a Vette Owner for a few days now, late thirties, so I'm doing my part to help with the age diversity. All joking aside, the reality is I'm pretty lucky to be able to afford the car at my age, and a car this expensive is going to push the age of the average buyer up. I always cringe at the age stereotype, it's so freakin' illogical. What, you mean people can't buy a 50k car at 20?

I've read just about all of these posts. I think the question was more like, "Why do younger people who can afford these cars opt for Porsches and BMWs over Corvettes?". I think it comes down to poor marketing on the part of GM/Chevy. They'd probably sell more by making Corvette its own brand and hiring some A-List celebrities/sports figures under 35 to advertise them. I never even see Corvettes mentioned in generic Chevy ads.
Yes, lots of owners have been buying them since they were young, but they're old now, and even though these cars don't look like an "old man's car", that's what most potential buyers see. Also, the bad reputation that American cars earned a while ago, which has never been overcome. A good ad campaign could turn it all around.

Oh I read probably 230 of them, which is how I realized that only about 6 original points were made, and the rest were just endless repetition. Yeah, I missed a few in the jungle of words.
If others were reading, perhaps there wouldn't be 235 post threads full of endless repetition.

My first Corvette was a 1964 roadster and I was 19 then.
Had to sell her to buy our first home and raise 3 children and didn't
get another until I was 45
I'm 66 now and on my 4th new Corvette
Save the wave

I am like JJWVETTE I got my first one at 19 it was a 64. I have had 13 since then. Have a 2014 now with a 2017 GS ordered. No kids helped a lot in the purchase of these.

Im about to buy a grand sport (on order)...im 37... I almost bought a C5 z06 and C65 z06 a few times in my late 20's and early 30's... but opted for Porsches and a Nissan GTR (great car hated the automatic) and a lotus exige S..
I think for me the issue was just the interior and tech stuff.. the C7 really caught my eye, then I waited for the Z06 and was troubled by the wild nature on track and claims of overheating... the C7 grand sport I think will hit the spot
I don't care about demographics.. i buy what I like.. I work for Mercedes Benz and Im about to buy a vette (because it has what I want and a 3rd pedal..I do daily a Benz)... Ive driven/tracked miatas that people made fun of me for... I dont care
Corvette is one of the few cars that are fast, fun, track worthy and still comes with a stick... if the C8 is mid engine and high revving then I'll keep buying as long as they don't go automatic/DCT only...
I give vette owners and porsche owners credit...when I go to track days they are littered with vettes and porsches...

I run with a group that is allied with an SVT club, so I see lots of Mustangs in addition to Corvettes, Porsches, BMWs and Miatas. I see the occasional Camaro, Viper, WRX or Honda. The pool of RWD cars with manuals is shrinking every year.
