Default Jacking puck for the C5 & C6 won't fit in the C7??????

Just what the post says. I can't get my billitt pucks all the way into the jacking puck holes in my C7. They hang up on the part that goes into the hole. Any sugesstions. I want to change the wheels tomorrow. Thanks, Mike

They won't fit unless they were made for the Z06 aluminum frame (apparently the bottom wall is thicker that the steel frame). All C7's have the aluminum frame.

Buy your post you said all C7s have aluminum frames. The ZO6 has different hole opening sizes? How about if I just use hocky pucks resting on the holes when I jack?

No, all C7s share the same aluminum chassis, which is different from the C6 frames. In the C6 gen, the Z06 had an aluminum frame, and the other cars had steel frames, but even the C6 Z06 chassis is different from the C7 chassis.

You should be fine w/ hockey pucks resting on the jack points.

That will work, just be careful with placement.

The Billet jacking pucks from my Z06 fit just fine (I kept them and didn't have to buy a new set for the C7), but the jacking pucks from my '05 (steel frame) do not fit. The "arm/post" on the Z06 puck is longer to accommodate the thicker aluminum frame.

All you have to do is shave about 3/32 off each end of the locking potion of the puck. Works fine and last a long time

I got four hockey pucks at the end of hockey season pretty cheap. Then I drilled a hole in the middle of all of them and screwed in an eye screw that I got from the hardware store for a couple of bucks. I had to cut the ends off the screws to make them work. They worked on my C5 and now they work on my C7. For those who don't know, an eye screw is a lot like a wood screw except that the head is bent into a close circle, creating the eye. I have a Sting Ray.

Yes, all C7's have aluminum frames. Jacking pucks from the C6 steel frames (non Z06 C6) won't fit the aluminum frames on the C7. The C6 Z06 pucks (which were made to fit the aluminum frame) will fit on the C7.

Couple of issues! First GM says use a max 2 1/2 inch diameter puck! My C6 aluminum pucks were 3 inch as are hockey pucks. In my case the 3 inch actually hit the SMC rocker panel in of the two slots. If you use screw in eye hooks in hockey pucks you can move the shaft to one side of the slot and avoid hitting the panels.

I bought and use 2 inch high 2 1/2 inch diameter aluminum pucks to clear my side skirts. Found one slot was very tight so just filed the sides of the top of the puck and it fits fine. Have that one labeled.

Probably depends on the brand.
The (do not leave in) pucks I bought for my C5 worked w/o issue on my C7 (14).

Think I got them from MidAmerica, but I could be wrong....
