Anyone missing some parts?
First, thank you Trunk Monkey for being easy to do business with! Ordered my Comp seat conversion kit and it's on its way
In preparation for the job, I took my seats out this morning. Have to say, it was not easy! Hardest part was removing the stinking wire holder - you know, the barbed push pin kind - looks like it's a one-time use 'cause I just about destroyed both of them.
Anyway, here's the deal: Once I undid the bolts and removed the seats, look what I found - the seats were screwed down ON TOP of these parts! The dime was under the drivers seat (helps with the next and last payment!) and the assorted bolts and clips were under the passenger seat bolt. Either my car is about to fall apart or someone else with a 2014 Z51 M7 is missing a bunch of parts
Anyone care to guess where they belong?

So the easy question is, did you buy your car new?
If so, maybe the factory missed putting these "extras" in a plastic bag! haha
If used, then for certain, seat work was performed earlier

Hopefully all of those screws were just extras and not missing from the designed locations in your car. If so, surprised they were not noticed when the seats were originally installed. Or as said above, someone did some work after the car was built and really missed putting things back together properly.

I just had my seat out and apart and none of those fasteners look familiar. They look used so they came from somewhere, I didnt take the seat bottom apart so possibly from there. If not look at the service history and see what was done, most likely a screen replacement or something that need dash disassembly.
If those were left on the assembly line they wouldnt be used fasteners.

Some look used, some not. Bought with 1000 miles on the clock with no mods. I see on the thread about changing from GT to Comp seats some of the posters had missing screws in their seat backs or liberal use of zip ties. Who knows, I'll keep them just in case. Perhaps I'll find a few thousand dollars in the seat backs when making the change

You got like one of each type used throughout the car, those might come in handy!

Hope all the extra parts are under the seats and not in the oil pan!

Not all of those fastener are interior specific... looks like the clip on the end secures the weather seal trim, the black screws look similar to the fasteners for the exterior trim pieces, i.e., the wheel well trim pieces, etc.
