Found a new C7 computer background image
I picked the following shot to buy as my new desktop background image. I have never had the light catch my C7 side angles in exactly this way. To me, it kinda makes a Z51 look like it has a wide body thing going on.
For all of us that say we have no intention of tracking our C7s, it took my son a year to convince me to return to the track and now I know what my C7 can do, that my A8 is an awesome performing transmission that didn't overheat and that all of the other tech performs like a dream on the track. I had 7k easy miles on my tires and pads and I think I can get at least another 10k after a weekend with the green group at NCM MSP.

By all objective car design standards, any C7 is a "wide-body." Some are just more bulgy than others.
Great shots and glad you're getting to drive your car in a way that it's capabilities can be appreciated.

That was one of the very first things I noticed when I bought my '14. It didn't look all that less wide-bodied than the Z06 I was trading in. I drove it home, and parked it next to my '05, and it looked much wider. A lot of fender flare compared to the C6.
Now, compared to a C7 Z06 or a GS, it doesn't look exaggerated at all.
Perspective is everything, I guess.

Looking at my Z51 from the front the other day, I was struck by how wide it does appear. I guess it's about a half-inch wider than the standard C6 on each side, according to the official dimensions chart. The wide-body GS and ZO6's are 1 1/2 inches wider on each side than the 'standard' C7 coupe...so yeah, we drive "narrow body" cars.
Oh well...maybe they should be differentiated by naming them 'wide-body' and 'extra-wide body' Corvettes.
