Default Corvette recall today DONE

Good Morning Everyone, Took my 2016 Laguna Blue convertible in this morning for my first oil change, defective battery tender and the new Corvette recall for the air bag software update. All went fine and it took about 1 hour total. Work done at Serpentini Chev in Strongsville, OH and all seems fine.

Getting my recall done tomorrow. Glad it doesn't take long. Just enough time to get two slices and a coke across the street from the dealer, Northstar Chevy.

I normally hold back a month or two on recalls. I like to give the dealers time to sort things out and there always could be another recall in the pipeline.

Had an oil change done last month and found a small scratch on the outside of my passenger door rear view mirror after I got home. Judging from the height and direction of the scratch, it had to be Mr. Goodwrench's jewelry, watch or tools. I know it wasn't there because I wiped the car down before taking it in. I was pissed, but no way I could prove it was their fault. I won't go back there.

At the dealership right now. They just finished the oil change and the airbags sw recall, but, found a nail in one of the tires. Looks like I'm waiting just a little bit longer.

Recalls? Have not received any notice. Are these VIN specific?

Took both cars in today ....Z06 for the recall and oil change and alignment...Stingray for just the recall. All went smooth and done in 2 hours. Cheers to Glendora Chevy

Since it was just announced on 9/9, it's probably too early for notices to have been received. However, I'm happy to hear that it's so simple that dealers already have the software update.
