At least the AAA guy would appreciate it.

I remember in the 80's when hood ornaments were the rage and they went missing regularly.
...and would show up hanging on some thugs fake gold rope

It took me at least 20 minutes to get it in. You have to find just the right sweet spot before it goes in properly its really a PITA.

I actually like the look. Team player, I'd suggest turning the tow hook sideways so the hook sits flat.

Guys, please confirm....you cannot put a front tow hook on a 2014?

I still can't see how someone on the internet, can do more harm, than someone seeing your car in a parking lot, and then getting on the internet!

I've seen guys display tow hooks at shows, especially the nicer aftermarket red ones, but I don't think they add anything to the look of the car to keep them on during street driving. Just one guy's opinion.

And, when your spouse asks what it is, you can always say "that's where I wind it up"

(Just kidding--I too have seen these pretty often at car shows. )

It looks like an infected zit to me. I'd like to have the hook option but my 14 doesn't have a threaded hole to insert one.

If I could have one, I'd carry it in the car and plug it in to the end needed by the tow truck to help get the car on the truck. Since I don't have that ability, I can only dream of this option.

LOL, they can't, and it only takes one hacker walking around who sees your car and plate. However, the odds are greatly in your favor just driving around.

If you think for a moment about the concept of mathematical odds, you wouldn't be having such a big problem wrapping your head around the difference. If I go fishing in a body of water w/ 7 billion fish, I have a much better chance of catching one than I do when there are only a few thousand fish in the vicinity.

Moreover, the people who can do harm with personal info are those trolling the internet. People driving or walking around are rarely fixating on either any particular car or with finding personal info.

The way I look at it is whats the point of offering up an attention-getting photo on the internet which contains information that could be traced back to any individual in most cases? That photo will long outlive the poster. What does anyone gain from that?

I can post the same picture without that info by clicking on a retouch button in 2 seconds. What boggles my mind is why do people get their underwear all twisted by folks who are simply being smart enough to take simple precautions that require no effort.

And speaking of fishing, this forum has been the target of a lot of "spear-phishing" from hackers lately.

And this is exactly why you don't leave the tow hooks in. Because everywhere you go, there are dbags.

There were multiple d-bags involved in that incident, and one of them owned a white C7. Although much less egregious, this is a good lesson for those who plop their cars in the middle of two parking spaces. You just might PO a nut case.

Op, your nose ring looks fine. Don't let anyone make you feel different.
I'm gonna be a couple of minutes late to my first appointment this morning after reading this entire thread, but it was worth the laughs.
Thanks!
