Hmm, considering the reliability of the A8, glad my Tremic C6 and C7 trans' were built in Mexico!

BREAKING NEWS! VERIFIED! LT1 Corvette Engines are NOT being built in Mexico. This turns out to be a case of misprinted window stickers!

A repost for those who only read what's on the last page.

Not so fast....Well Well Well this could be the give away that next years cars are going to have a different motor in them. In 2013 my C6 Convertible also had its engine sourced from a Mexican truck engine plant. The reason for this I was told was the US plant was re tooling for the C7 motor change over so they moved production of the soon to be discontinued engine to Mexico for the 2013 model year so the US plant could change over for the new LT1 C7 motor. This could be the give away that a new base motor is on its way for 2018. Close to 500 horsies in 2018 ?? That's what I'm thinking.

Why should the Mexicans stay home and WORK, when they can come to the US and get everything they need/want free from the US government and not have to work for it.

It hard to believe that GM could make a mistake on the window sticker when this information is supposed to be verified. GM has no problem listing the 2017 price increases like the 3LT going for $9745.00 and you know this information is correct.

Heard some production was shifted to Mexico due to LT1 capacity issues in Tonawanda.

GrandC7...that made me chuckle a little.

But for the doubters, consider this... There aren't any higher Corvette information sources available to me than the ones that provide me with information when they are permitted to do so. These men are also my friends and have never lied to me about one single thing. When they can't answer my questions, they simply do not respond. In other words, they have no reason to lie to me or mislead me. The error has been discovered and corrected and you'll see that reflected on window stickers printed after the correction was made.

Are the dealers receiving corrected window stickers and how many c7's are involved in this screw up.

I don't know, but I would suggest any buyer's wanting a corrected window sticker discuss the issue with their dealership to see if they can get a corrected one.

Just spoke to my brother... He asked the question the docent said USA Tonawanda. Then he asked why the stickers say made in Mexico... he said well I guess that's where there made.
I agree its a typo... phew....

Ok on to another hot topic: What is the best type of water to use for washing our cars?
Tap, distilled, soft or de-ionized?
