Sirius Deal; Good Price?
My 1 yr is about to expire and I received a mailer that is offering an additional year for $99, comes to $112.76 with taxes and fees. Is this about as good as I can get? I don't have any other cars with Sat radio so I can't bundle. Thanks.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the less likely I am to continue although $10/month seems pretty cheap, only about 30 cents a day. I think I've only turned on Sat radio a couple times since I bought the car last July. I did listen to it for a while driving to and from the Bash but other than that I rarely turn it on as I usually listen to local radio or my ipod. I think I'm going to pass and see if I miss it which I doubt I will.

You can work them for 55.00-60.00 if you sign up for auto renewal and give them a CC number, but you will get dinged full price the second that year is up.
Best I could get with paper billing is the 99.00 deal after it expired.
Ebay thing sounds interesting, I would rather deal with an eBay then SXM on the phone lol.

That sounds like a hack kind of like those satelite receiver cards where it would unlock every channel to include ppvs the hotbox or whatever lol

- no muss, no fuss, no BS! He is the man! Sometimes he does not have listings posted. Email him through the ebay "contact seller". I think it is like $70 for one year which includes traffic and weather and like $55 for a year without traffic and weather. I don't know how he does it but he does.

I purchased subscriptions from him for both my Vette (with NavTraffic) and my second car (no NavTraffic) at about the same time. For whatever reason, the subscription in my Vette suddenly stopped working last weekend (roughly 6 weeks after purchase). I've tried emailing him, and even though his reply message says that his tech support will fix the issue within 24 hours, I have gotten zero response to multiple emails.
He seems like a good guy, so I'm hoping it's just a glitch. I'll post again when he has replied.

My 5 month special ended on Sunday but did not get through to a rep until Tuesday. So, the dance began.
They started high with a special because I was a long time customer, 99.00 per year. No thank you. We finally settled on the same deal I had. We went through their confirmation of the deal, how much, yada, yada, yada... No CC, so send me the invoice.
Thank you and goodbye.
The invoice arrived in today's mail. It was over $28.00 more than we agreed. Seems they charged my wife almost double what we agreed. So, we begin another dance on Monday.
Good thing they didn't have my CC...

You can get 6 mos for $30 to $35 to keep you as a customer if they conclude you are about to drop service. Best to ask them to mail you an invoice and pay by check IMO. They may charge an additional $1 for paper service but better than giving them your credit card number.

Never paid more than about $5/month. I call them just before the current subscription is going to auto-renew and we go through the same song and dance every time. They offer a higher renewal rate. I decline. They offer a better rate I decline. They offer the best rate, I accept.
The fact of the matter is that when I tell them I'm not paying more than $5/month, it's the TRUTH. It's simply not worth more than that to me.
Only one time they would not offer me a deal at about $5/month, so I told them to cancel the subscription. I was perfectly fine without it, then they sent me a mailer with a deal for about $5/month and I re-subscribed.

Another guy that had problems 2 out of 2 times getting XM on Ebay.
Unfortunately you're better off just haggling with XM directly. If you have problems with the Ebay subscription, you can't call XM directly and get any help without "taking over" your stereo and loosing the Ebay subscription. The Ebay subscription on your car stereo is not yours.
