OK, I know this topic has been talked about to death, but, to my knowledge, this is the first picture of the 2016 Admiral Blue next to a 1996 Admiral Blue is clear, sunny weather.





The colors really have nothing to do with one another! I know why GM wanted to use the name again, but they should at least be in the same general color (other than just blue).

Has there ever been another Corvette color that was used more than once and it was completely different?

Here's a line up of the 4 blues from my post yesterday but in the sun (2016 Admiral Blue Z51 Coupe, 1996 Admiral Blue Grand Sport, 2016 Laguna Blue Z06 and 2009 Jetstream Blue ZR1).



This really shows how dark the Admiral Blue is. I wish I had a Night Race Blue to take a picture. If anyone has a Night Race Blue, stop in so I can take some pictures!

We traded one in and it left for the auction a day or two before we got in our Admiral Blue.

looks like Lemans Blue from 2004.

I always liked the 02/03 Z06 in EB or the JSB C6 color.

Love the new blue. We haven't had a good pure dark blue since LMB - which this looks a lot like (yeah, I know, NRB - which I have so I'm not knocking it, but it's a different animal).

It's hard to be accurate with 2 different pictures with 2 different cameras, 2 different settings, etc. but THAT looks like a match!

I agree regarding all of the variables that you mentioned, and agree they look very close.

Thanks for the comparison pics. I think the new Admiral Blue is the best looking of them all (IMO). It would be great to see a NRB beside the AB if you get the opportunity. I like NRB, but for me it is too dark (might as well get Black), and just a little too much of a Purple hue.

The new Admiral Blue looks great in the sunlight pictures, too dark (imho) in poor lighting or shade.
