Some high performance brake pads need to be "bedded" this is typically 6-10 hard stops from speed. The heat releases gasses that collect during manufacture.
If this is not done, the pads "glaze" with a hard surface... this can cause squealing and brake fade until it is removed by re-bedding.
Also, driving at "suburban" speeds can cause pad material to collect on the rotors. This causes slight vibration under light braking.
The cure is several repeated threshold stops from high speed... hard to do in most street driving situations.
As i said, I've had no issues with my 2016 Z51 stock pads, but I have done 2 HPDEs so the brakes have gotten some work.

Did the bedded hard stops today from 50-0 about 6 times and have not heard a squeal since. It was only happening once in a while so I could live with it but I will do the bedded again if it starts again. Thanks guys for giving me the advice to do the bedded brake procedure since I drive like a old fart!

Just need to find a less frequently traveled road to do it. I use a divided 4 lane highway and after a few hard stops go on the interstate with only engine braking to let them cool of for~10 minutes. Note it's recommended to go from 60 to 10/15 mph and not to a stop.
No fun driving like and old man! I'm 73 and hope I never get that old!

Same here. Don't notice anything when it's cooler, just on those warm, humid DC days. Started at 7000 miles. Will have my tech check it out next time I'm in the shop.

Dealers putting on appropriate lub helps for a short while then it's back! However they do get paid by GM if still on warrety so are happy to do it!
Bedding is the solution and after I did mine (which was occasionally squealing like a stuck pig on slow speed stops after 1000 miles) it lasted for a year. Then I finally got feed up dealing with cleaning my Z51 wheels every ~100 miles and switched to Carbotech 1521 pads. Have had those for 1 1/2 years; 80% less dust that doesn't stick and no noise!
Lots written about "bedding brakes" in forum threads or better just put the term in Google and read some articles about what it does and why it's needed. Particularly needed for Z51 brake pads but useful for all high performance cars.

Advanced
If brakes are cold or wet, you can get a low frequency grabbing/groaning sound on light application... this is just normal changes in friction.
A high-pitched squealing, however, is not normal... there may be a stone, or other piece of debris on the brake pad, the pads may be worn out, or they may be rubbing against the caliper pistons...
Sometimes, lubricating the back of the pads can cure this.

2014 vert, intermittent squealing when changing direction (fwd to rev or rev to fwd) after car has been sitting for 10-15 mins or more.
Car has 19,500 miles on it.

Whenever I wash my car (see Avatar) and spray around the wheels and brakes, I'll get a loud high-pitched squealing sound when I back out of the garage the next day. No noise when driving forward or when I stop at lights or stop signs (yes, I do that...) and it goes away after driving a few miles and returning home. After returning home and backing out again, there is no noise. This noise started on day l when I bought the car and I thought it was normal. I'll have to have it checked out at the dealer. It is extremely loud though and pretty embarrassing backing out in a great looking Vette!
The other advantage of driving around the block is water drains from the mirrors and my case the Z51 spoiler and I can dry those and other drops with a micro towel. Avoids rusted rotors and will probably stop your squealing! It also stops the rust from getting on your wheels the next day. Perhaps you have seen some brown residue?
Don't see what you expect the dealer to do? However if in warranty they get paid from GM to put lub on the pads. It won't help your problem IMO, but they will make some money!

Drifting
I have something similar to where when I get home from work (about 10 mile drive), I will back into the garage and get a light squeal from the brakes. 2014 Coupe with almost 16,000 miles. Not really worried about it.

My 2014 has 29,000 miles on it and the brakes have never squeaked. However, my 2010 GS squeaked until I bed the brakes.

Mine squeal after a washing. I noticed that if I blow out the brakes real good with my Master Blaster after the wash, I can pretty much eliminate the problem.

Burning Brakes
My 2014 Z51 with 7700 miles brakes recently started squealing once in a while at slow speeds. I never noticed it before but lately it happens once in a while when I go out for a drive. Does anyone else notice their brakes squealing or is their something I need to have serviced? Thanks Dave
All good now.

My Z51 squealed like a stuck pig until I bedded the brakes. Then it was fine.
Follow the proceedure in the Owners Manual for tracking but only need about 6 or 7 had stops not 20.
Easy to do before removing pads to apply lub.
