Here is the data from my last session on track. I just had the dealer flush differntial fluid - when should I change the ttansmission fluid?

For those who don't track the car, required transmission oil changes are few and far between.

The service manager where I take my Pontiac G8GT to for some things I just don't care to do anymore shrugs off a lot of maintenance car enthusiasts do. I think he's quite technically capable but says things like changing the coolant hoses at 6 yrs is a waste of $.

Having said that, my G8GT is 7.5 yrs old, 58K miles and I will let them change the fluid at 65K not the 100K the manual recommends.

I just had them change the diff fluid a 1K ago, so I too am a bit obsessive? Would have done it myself but the fill plug was nasty tight and I figured they could fix it if something went wrong! Don
