I own two Corvettes and I applaud the Jeep owner. If it would have been me, I would have put it closer to the Corvette so that the driver would not have been able to get in except through the passenger door.
If you want to assure a ding free environment then park so far away that no one would want to walk that far. The Corvette owner is a true Jerk and the Jeep owner is innovative.

Hopefully he saw the nose of your Vette and knew how much room he had. Otherwise if you nosed up to the line yep you would have had a problem.

I always park in the "back 40" as we say in the south. It's amazing though that most of the time when I come back someone has parked beside me.

I always park far away but would never think of taking up two spots. That would be just asking for trouble.

This is how we mostly park. Most of the time away from other cars, but within the lines.

In my opinion he got what he deserved. I detest when people think they have a better pot to pi*s in. Take up 1 spot or park out in the middle of nowhere. He parks in the front spots and take up 2? The owner should be glad he didn't key the car.

The problem is..
this is "parallel" parking, and in order to get in and out of those stalls one needs to back up before getting the nose out past the vehicle in front of that monster rig.. That's the problem.

Birds of a feather flock together, in the far part of the lot. This is at the gym, love how people circle around looking for a spot up close, you're going in to exercise.

I thought I found the perfect spot. Not only was in the last spot, it was really long and had a buffer.
When I came out from lunch, the inevitable had happened.

I never lake near anyone, always within the lines, and I prefer an edge so others can't park on one side of me.
Never a ding on my viper, corvette, hellcat or any other car I've owned.

Chain restaurants in my area are known for narrow parking stalls so they can pack in more customers.
