Default You pick up your new Vette and then do...

Getting my new corvette next week. Plan to do some driving. Other than blah errands, any suggestions on where to go, what to do?

Would love to swing by and see some people, but don't want to seem like a douche!

Find a nice curvy, scenic road and just drive your car and enjoy the heck out of it. My first ride 2 years ago was a 270 miler!

Do not swing by and see some people unless a) your normal routine is to drive by and see said people or b) said people have unconditional love for you. Take a drive out to the Cape, or up to Boston, click some pics, enjoy the miles, as you smile the whole time.

Pick up a friend and go for a ride on the least traveled road near you. Preferably a curvy road. Enjoy your new ride!

Just pick a route you are familiar with and go for a nice long ride. Get those 500 breakin miles over with so you can really enjoy your Vette.
As mentioned do not visit or drop by friends unless that is something you normally do.
Plenty of time for show and tell.

I plan on staying away from friends for fear of them wanting to drive the vette before the breakin period is up. U know how they would want to feel the power and U wouldn't want to say keep it below 3,000 RPM.

Take drive up to Franconia Notch in NH.. or up the Coast on old Route 1 to Bar Harbor Maine...either way cannot miss. Even Cape Cod out to P-town would be a good ride.

All good suggestions! Decided to pick it up tomorrow. What the hell, it's 70 degrees today in Massachusetts!

I went and picked my gf (at the time) for a quick ride, then drove some more, picked up a different friend and went for lunch to try and stop my body from shaking haha. Literally I was shaking for like 2 hours after I had picked it up. I went from a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon with 175hp to this monster of a car.

I bet that was a big difference. I currently drive a new Lexus GS f sport, and a 2011 Camaro SS so I'm used to cars with some zip. That being said, the dealer who is my friend said the difference between the Camaro and the vette is substantial... Said the Camaro might as well be a Prius next to it!

I drove mine straight home and it did not move until I drove it down for the Xpel install. Once that was done, I took it for a drive.

The trip to Bar Harbor sounds like a good trip. Grab a lobster dinner, if the town has reopened after the winter. The trip to the XPEL installer sounds smart, but not fun. Whatever you choose to do, have fun with it.

Drive it to work everyday. Don't keep it hidden in your garage.
