Looks great!!! I am looking into all the garage floor options myself. Got 800 sqf of garage to figure out what to do with and how to plan it all out. I am thinking to just do epoxy as it's dirt cheap and gets the job done for now. But do plan on insulating and walling the garage so I figured I would do that and the flooring all together.

I would be interested in knowing how the tile holds up to where the tires rest. There is a compound in tires that effect the epoxy flooring.

This is now 11 years old race deck "coin design" in fact we moved it from it's first home and ordered the certain extra tiles that were need because the new front garage (26x22) is larger in the new home, that was 6 years ago.

It has some light scratches and a few marks, but overall excellent wear. We are also pretty hard on it, 2 Harleys, tools, projects, motor cycle lifts, car jacks, a crazy 80 lb. dog, etc.

The rear garage is 30x26 air conditioned, and I did the oil based floor paint by H&C for coast reasons. I did the proper prep, and did several coats, and several coats of high gloss clear with the deco specks in between coats. After 6 years it looks pretty bad. Very inconsistent wear, some major problems with fluid spills, Anything vinyl will stick to it, and pull up the paint. Should have done race deck (or another brand but same type of floor) that is my next "project" to be done soon. Pics below are the 11 year old floor, the last one is the rear garage in epoxy - never again for me at least.

Well - the back garage is now done, to put it in perspective, the TV is a 72" older DLP that we can't really just throw out, but is dated and been replaced by a 72" Sony 4k/3d for the house. Now, what to put where??

You want the son or son-in-law who is still young enough to think of this as fun rather than drudgery.

Heh-heh. I'm still using garage door openers my son installed when he was thirteen. He's a computer engineer now, so I probably should charge him for that experience.

We did SwissTrax Ribtrax...... and LOVE IT

I was originally thinking I wanted solid tiles, but after hearing from MANY folks on both this forum, and Garage Journal it became clear that the open style was a much better choice for us.

The folks at SwissTrax were great to work with.

I'll be installing a garage floor in one of my neighbors garage in a week as he recently had 2 knees replaced, and I had fun doing ours. Took about 2 hours to do all the "whole" tiles, and a few hours to do all the cut, and trimmed pieces.

Anyone want details, feel free to PM me.
