This will go on & on until the black wheel's paint wears off. I told my buddy, and he agrees, that when he orders his new C7 get it with black wheels so he can sell them and make enough profit to buy the ZO6 chromies and have enough left over for a year's supply of Woodford Reserve!
If you like chrome wheels, why don't you put the chrome strip back in the grill??
It was ordered with the exposed carbon fiber roof, carbon flash emblems, carbon flash spoiler and carbon flash outside mirrors so it never came with a chrome strip in the grille from the factory. Like I said, the only chrome on the car are the wheels.
Maybe I should run chrome on one side and black on the other. Depending on who I run into that night I can turn the car either direction and everyone is happy!
CHROME. Hands-down.
There is no way that Torch Red can be eclipsed by Chrome wheels.
Personally I've only seen two cars in my life that had black wheels, that looked good.
IMO A 'Vette isn't one of them. YMMV. I don't like the now-outdone "murderered-out look", let alone black wheels period....Nice switch.
I'd agree that the machine-faced would be a great option. They look great on the right car and paint color.

That is a stunning combo. Well done. I love the Kalahari and picked my exterior based on what I thought would look good with the interior. I would own your combo in a heartbeat. Nice work.
