◾Young guys ages 30-40 who buy the Z06 model and are actually pretty normal

LOL - this site is a feeble attempt at humor and not to be taken seriously.

On a serious note though - I'm over 50 and can see how\why most folks that drive Vettes are in my demographic. Most folks will never ever buy a two seat vehicle, the car is expensive, drinks gas, and is fast, fast, fast. Not practical for most. Buy hey, it's like my own personal amusement park.

Kidding aside, this is essentially click bait. Sure, to some wealthy people out there we Corvette owners are probably considered losers. Just like the guy that owns Veyron GS thinks the guy with a 458 Italia is a loser.

I suppose at least I'm not in a 3rd world country eating trash and homeless while I rot from Ebola. I'm just some chump who drives a Corvette because I can't afford a Porsche or Ferrari. Still not bad.

The real loser is the clown that wrote that article. I am an older man (60) but my first Vette was many years ago. (this is my 4th) I enjoy driving my corvette and I am the only person that I need to please.

Whatever...

Girls $70k is nota lot of money. That's what's wrong with the world now. People think money grows on trees. And everyone has an opinion about Corvettes but gave never owned one.

Some corvette owners "beat the snot" out of their cars, some drive like a jackass and some do both.

[QUOTE=TEXHAWK0;1591249683]Wonder where I fit in the stereo type?
Bought a '77 Corvette when I was 23, and have had nothing but Camaros and Corvettes for 40 years.
Guess I never grew up, so I skipped the mid-life crisis.

I got you beat Tex. Bought a 72 vette when I was barely 21 and have never been without a vette over 43 years later. Let's not forget my first car, a 67 Camaro that I owned 3-1/2 years before the first vette!!

LOL kind da funny but not well executed...
I got my first vette in 85 one of the first comments I got was from a woman who said
" I'm so sorry to hear of its death... " What? " that your p....p died. "
I could not believe a perfect stranger, let alone a woman would say that to me over a car.
Was my first runin with a hater and stereo typer . I had only had the car 3 days!
Most recently was flipped the bird.
Then and now I say only " Ok , and what are you driving? "

Just another individual who gets their jollies raining on someone else's parade, especially if it's a nice parade. They can't be constructive and build their own life so they can afford the nice things they want, so they just find a way to take down those that have achieved some success in their lives. Unfortunately, some these types get into politics.

Who cares. I can't remember the last time I got insulted by something someone posted on the Internet. Oh wait, that'd be never.

You're all being played like a violin. Do you not see all the ads on his blog?

The reason people post things like this is so you'll all share the link in all your forums, then everybody visits & revisits while he makes money on ad revenue. Click bait.

Since that is the case... does it really benefit anyone by dissecting, discussing, and parsing the nuances of his (completely contrived for income) post here 'til the cows come home?

Default This topic again??

Why is it constantly implied that vette owners are always in some type of stereotype.

Has anyone ever suggested that we just bought the car because we like the performance, looks, and value they represent?

I know my C6 is no Ferrari or high end Porsche, and I don't pretend otherwise. I bought it (outright, cash) because I wanted super car like performance, but can't really afford a Ferrari. How many people really can afford a Ferrari? I cross shopped against Caymans but bought the vette because it performs better and was better value and less money.

I'm just your basic middle age working class guy that is finally a millionaire and can afford a few minor luxuries, so I got a vette.

I know several guys that bought used M3's, Caymans, and 911's (the "cool cars") on payments and really can't afford them.

Who's the freakin poseur? Really?

This is the most common looking Corvette you will see driving on the road right now, and it has the classic Corvette paint job. The new 2014 Corvette is so sick that any predetermined notions of this car must be thrown out. Hard to believe that this car still sells for less than $100,000.

Like I really care what some MORON thinks why I drive a Vette or why I purchased 5 in my lifetime. I've been driving Corvettes since before his daddy was playing with himself reading Playboy.

a lot of truth in the blog for sure. I know for a fact alot of guys would never run their cars hard, mostly because they aren't watching where they are going they are like a bobble head back and forth to see who is looking at them (very unsafe to drive it hard and still be able to look for peepers, heeheeheeheehee)
