Macmulkin vs Kerbeck vs Coughlin - C7 Z06
Hello,
Im sure this has probably been discussed a million times but i wasnt able to find a similar thread after searching for a bit . Im now in the market for my 3rd vette - C7 Z06 and i do like a couple of cars and prices at Macmulkin, kerbeck and coughlin. Not sure who to go with in terms of service or best price (right now Macmulkin is hands down the best on price as far as my research goes).
I live in central NJ so the price difference between Kerbeck and Macmulkin is pretty much negated as the drive/fly up there to Macmulkin will be the same as going to Kerbeck and paying a bit more in car costs. Im buying it all cash so financing is not an issue.. who do you all suggest to go with as all this hunting/research is driving my wife up a wall and i want to buy something soon so that i can enjoy it atleast for a couple of weeks before parking it for the winter..

If it's a wash between kerbeck and macmulkin, go with the one that's easiest for you. Sounds like kerbeck.

I bought my last Vette from MacMulkin. The transaction with Tommy jr was as easy as buying a pack of bubble gum. All of MacMulkins Corvettes are stored indoors until sold, which is a big deal in my book.

My entire experience with Kerbeck was 2nd to none. If the price is close, go with Kerbeck. If it's big enough of a difference to even consider going north, tell your salesman at Kerbeck and see what they can do for you.
In addition, Kerbeck's selection is absolutely the largest and their published discounts are substantial.
I value my time as much as savings. Kerbeck will register the car for you. I don't know about other states, but going to motor vehicle and having to do it yourself in New Jersey is at least a two hour or more ordeal that I wouldn't look forward to. Just driving or flying a few states away would be a deterrent enough. Good Luck in buying your dream car!

and a MacMulkin purchase includes a free temp tag good in all states EXCEPT taxachusetts, which you'd have to drive through to get home.
You're saying that Massachusetts doesn't recognize New Hampshire temporary tags?????
Flight to Boston is ~ $175 MacMulkin will pick you up at airport.
tell your salesman at Kerbeck and see what they can do for you.
My experience, they don't negotiate.

To the OP, I've bought from both Kerbeck and MacMalkin and both were top shelf.
Just another option, how about Mike Furman?

Back to the OP's question, if the deals are all similar, go with the closer dealer. Even though Tommy at MacMulkin was great, and I would do it again in a flash. (I didn't buy my C7 from Tommy only because a local dealer had exactly what I wanted on the showroom floor and cut me a great deal.).

Kerbeck did all my tag work for me, I'm in FL. I'd gladly pay a bit more not to have to go to the MVD. Overall Kerbeck did great for me.

If "servicing" the C7 is not an issue in the future and you will be using someone else to service the C7, the only consideration should be the total bottom line price point.
Both MacMulkin and Kerbeck are top gun players, so the service received to make the sale should be about the same.
Go with the lowest price point available if the C7 is a new "order". If the C7 is a"buy off the lot", then there will be variables. I am sure no 2 C7's are exactly the same.

It is all in the bottom line price, less taxes and fees plus your effort to get it.
It didn't matter who I bought my coupe from as I wasn't getting locally. MacMulkin did not have additional fees. It seems Kerbeck has a $300 doc fee and had to register it in CA, which is total bs. So they came out of the mix. Just my two cents worth.

I would go to Criswell first. Call Mike.

I would think it would have been much easier to have that done by the dealership, than have to do it yourself. That's part of the doc fee that Kerbeck charges.

Whatever shall I do?
Hallelujah
The question is peculiar
I'd give a lot of dough
If only I could know
The answer to my question
Is it yes or is it no
Does your chewing gum lose its flavour
On the bedpost overnight?
If your mother says, don't chew it
Do you swallow it in spite?
Can you catch it on your tonsils?
Can you heave it left and right?
Does your chewing gum lose its flavour
On the bedpost overnight?"
