Default Need opinions. Have C7...considering buying early Viper

I am a Caraholic. My C7 is the best car I have ever owned but have that itch for another toy. Owning a C7 will I be disappointed if I buy an Early Viper for an additional toy?

The concept of "too many toys" is a fallacy invented by women. If you want it and can afford, buy it every time.

The sure way to answer that is to buy one.

The question I should have asked is 'how does the driving experience compare? Will it be sub-par to the Vette?

Well, had the c6 for 3 years and thought I would love the viper, bought the viper, had it for a year and sold it. It's a great track car and is very brutal in every aspect in a fun way for short periods of time. I just couldn't live with it for 6 or 7 thousand miles a year. Plus the wife loves vettes and wouldn't even ride in the viper haha.

Check with frchillin (Mike) - he sold his '08 C6Z for a Viper to get it out of his system, so he can give his impressions. I don't think they were very favorable, save for the attention factor.

If you do buy one, remember that a Viper will bite you.

That's the exact input I was hoping for. Thanks

If you really want honest opinions about Vipers, perhaps you should ask on a Viper forum.

I have owned 11 Vettes, 2 Ferraris, Porsches, you name it. The biggest piece of junk that I have ever had the mispleasure of owning? A 2005 Viper. Bought it new. The car was a pig to drive, totally uncomfortable, and literally fell apart. I have owned 3 Chrysler products and they were all junk. I currently own. 2106 Sting Ray. Best car ever.

My brother-in-law owns a viper. Traded seats for a day. C7 is far superior in many aspects. The interior of a viper is slightly nicer than a dodge neon! and feel just as reliable ?? it was fun for a day but I'll stick with my C7

We've had 3 Vipers, Z06, Shelby Cobra, ZR1, C6s & C7.
ALL are very different, comparing them is like oranges to apples.
Viper is a 'drivers' car, one has to handle it accordingly.
Vette is more of a daily driver indeed.
Love the Viper!
Love the C7!

It is a well-known fact that he who dies with the most toys wins.

I have always been mesmerized by the Viper. Almost bought an 05 a few years back. I like my C7 a whole lot though and frankly can not afford two toys of this caliper at the same time...

Yeah Steve! Leave him alone, he can't build up his post count that way.
