Xpel on full hood..if you have it, step in

I'm seeing a small "shadow" line offset to each side of the stripes (almost looking like a very narrow grey pen stripe). Are these shadows from the edge of the Xpel?

Ok folks, The Installer stated it wouldn't be an issue changing out the hood when I bring my car on wednesday, on top of that XPEL stated if it wouldn't get resolved I could take it to another shop. So hopefully this was just an error on the installer and he seems willing to change it out. So good news there!

Well HATS OFF TO XPEL!!!! going to get my car in the morning, and XPEL Houston took care of me. He looked at the car in disgust. The entire car ended up redone. Im going to pick it up in the morning! I won't say who made it wrong but Eric at XPEL Houston SURE is making it right!

Hats off to XPEL is dead on. The job my XPEL installer did on my car really sold me on this. Unless a person is looking very closely, there is simply no evidence that the car has a plastic coating on it. There are absolutely no marks on the front bumper of this car after riding like a madman across the US and Canada and some 14k miles later; I have seen XPEL self healing properties first hand and it is pretty amazing. My latest venture was 2 coats of CQuartz Finest over the XPEL for the winter....wow!!!! Did a post here:

It should have been one piece. Maybe they had a left over hood with stringer cut out so they decide to use it rather than one full piece?
Mine is one piece on the entire hood, NO separate pieces for the hood vent! Then again, my installer did not use a pre-cut kit which I prefer, eliminates those slightly cut lines since he wrapped the edges UNDER the hood. No matter how close you look can't tell it is wrapped.

We've done multiple corvettes with and without stripes/stinger package. We have kits for both options, whichever the customer/shop prefers.
Here's a few installation pictures we've done over the past year or so...

But installing outside inevitably particles in the air surely get trapped under the wrap, no way around it.

The difference between pre-cut and installer cut would be significant in the final price IMO, especially since we are now removing things to tuck the XPEL under them (ie siderails). To use one piece on the hood and that same sheet for the hood vent would be near impossible I might think. It also adds the risk of accidentally slicing the paint job significantly. Wow...installer artwork though... My car is all pre-cut, but for the parts that weren't available...completely happy and one needs to look real close to see it.

I have 1 piece and the installer wrapped it and sealed it on the inside edges of the hood.
So there is no line. Then he sealed it with A heat gun.7-8 hour job.About 70% of the car done
For $2,000.
