Ventilated Seats '14 vs '15 / Full leather vs Suede
We're at Ron Fellows this week and the car I was in the most was a '15 with competition seats with suede inserts.
The cooling function actually worked, and worked very well. My '14 is not so great. I swear it only works for 2-3 minutes and very little air flow.
I'm wondering if its the fan units themselves, the fact the holes in the suede are more uniform and open, or they just fixed a lot of it in '15, or my car is not right.
The airflow difference was significant. My car I listen for the fans and vibration rather than telling by the airflow. The '15 instantly you could tell they were blowing very hard.

Yep. Got my 2015 Z51 with Comp Seats and suede inserts. The only problem was you get
the fuzzy steering wheel and shifter with that combination. I have since fixed that, though.
Compared to my 2014 rental with standard leather seating, I can tell you the suede is
definitely A LOT cooler and the air does flow through the material much better.

I'm envious! I can barely feel the air on hot summer days...even when the fan speed is on high. Dealer says it is working as designed...

I have a mid year 2014 with the 2LT option. When I select bi-level AC air flow distribution and have the cool seat selection in high, temperature selection 65/17, after a few minutes the seat air is so cold I have to select a lower fan speed (90/30 degree outside air temperatures, even top down). Thinking the cold AC air has to be on the floor or seat cooling will not be felt.

My 14 2lt worked great. My 16 3LT not so much, its OK but not like the 14. I attribute the difference to the different seat material.
