Thanks in advance and anyone else know something about new ownership as far as tips I should know?!? Thanks!!!!
Do a search on this forum for "Break-in advice" or check your owners manual for Break in instructions. Break in period is for 500 miles.

And don't use Mobile, that's a town in Alabama, you want Mobil 1 for oil

I didn't come from money - we never had a lot growing up. i put myself through school. My first car ... a 1979 Ford Pinto. I had the worst car in school. ...
Same here. I have no education actually, I come from the Appalachians. Grew up being made fun of, turned to computers, self taught myself some skills, and I'm not financing the car either. Though I'm not so nerd that I'm buying it from selling a comic collection!

When I pick up next week, I'm sure it will be cathartic.

Break your engine in by varying your RPMs and car speed. Deceleration is very desirable; i.e, bring it up to 4000 RPMs and let it decelerate in the same gear. Do this until your sick of it, but not before 30 miles.

Its not just engine breakin, its drivetrain break in. Just take it easy for 500 miles, and ignore the internets that argue against GM guidelines. If you bought an automatic be sure to use the paddle shifters a good bit to encourage you to vary your RPMs. FWIW.

Can't wait. And i will post order status and pics as soon as I have her. Thanks so much everyone for the great comments.

P.S. GetOutOJail refers to my job (criminal defense lawyer). And yes, I'm a good friend to have, especially speeding ticket time.
Congratulations on your new Corvette but watch out, some here might rag on you for being an attorney , albeit a defense attorney. Can't wait to see you post pictures of your new car when you finally pick her up! Again, congratulations!

Attyvette, Good input. You good guy attorneys are valuable to have here, IMO, and I'm sure in most others opinions here. A new, C7 Corvette is just what the Rx doctor ordered!
