Convertible owners-please chime in.

I wish GM would have designed in the option to close the top when you lock the doors via the fob or delayed locking.
exit vehicle, lock doors, top goes up, windows go up. With an over-ride for the option.
maybe hold the lock button for 5 seconds to make it all go up and lock, and a quick push for just a normal lock..

I bought our 2015 TR Z51 Vert exactly 6 months ago and now have about 10,500 trouble-free miles on it. The top has been a joy to operate: all-electric latches, able to be lowered while driving at 30MPH or less, very little wind noise while up or down. I'd say don't hesitate if you're inclined toward a C7 Vert.

2014 (Z51) with 15K miles. Seldom driven unless the top is dropped. Never parked overnight with the top down. Not one issue !
ok I own a 2012 Convertible Camaro 2SS/RS which is being bought back by GM for the top issues.
I am planning on ordering a C7 as the replacement.
I want to know if anyone has had any top related issues on the 'Vette, and if so what they are.
also any comments, good or bad about the Convertible in general.
I love rag tops, and am not really a fan of having to exit the vehicle to remove and store the Targa top, so if the C7 convertible is solid that is my preference.

Just over a year old and 4500 miles. Top has been perfect. Matter of fact, I just got back from a 2 hour top down therapy session.

My '14 vert mechanism has been perfect so far, I love the C7 vert look with either the top up, or, down.
One additional plus is that on the C7 everything is automatic, you no longer have to pull the top down and twist the lever to lock it in place at the end of the cycle vs. my previous C6.

I took Museum Delivery of my 2015 Z51 Vert on March 13th. On March 15th, on the third cycle of the top since delivery, it failed to retract properly and damaged the tonneau cover. The cause was determined to be missing fastener's on the driver side tonneau actuator. Just a QC issue. Mine was built during the big plant shutdown in February during the snow storm and was started on a Friday, and completed on a Monday. Dealer did an excellent job finding and solving the problem, and then correcting the paint damage to the tonneau cover. Top works flawlessly now and I am very happy with the car. Love driving it with the top down! As others have said, no wind buffet with top down, and no wind noise with it up. Outstanding car!

Happy with mine! I try to drive as much top down as I can.
Its quite and leak free, I'm a happy camper.

No real issues with mine, other than there is a distinctive "click" sound from the left side then another "click" from the right as the top is lowered or raised ("click, click" as the roof is moving). Dealer compared it to one on the showroom floor, and it was making the same noise, so he deemed it "normal". Not really an "issue". More of an irritant.

About eight months and a little over 5,000 miles, no problems whatsoever. Love the vert top and being able to lower the top remotely. Nothing like that look with the top down.
