What do y'all think of the tail lights?

They look great.
I'm not a senior citizen and won't be for the next 25 years.
I have a colleague who had his Camaro tail lights tinted. An older woman rear ended him. The police noted he had heavily tinted tail lights and wrote him a ticket. Then, his insurance company refused to pay the claim as the car was no longer "public road worthy" the woman that ran into him is now suing him and he got stuck fixing his own car and hers and is now in a legal fight. If not for his tinted tails, perhaps the woman would have seen him but if not, it would have been 100% her fault. This is why I won't tint my tails or be one of the pure morons who tint their windsheilds or headlights. The 'cool' look is not worth the possible repercussions.
Just food for thought..

I liked the look of the C7 tail lights first time I saw them, will not change them. It is Your car. I agree with legal problems that could surface in an accident. In Pennsylvania they are illegal.

Basically, any alteration of lighting can get you a ticket.
The same type of rule applies to tinting windows as well. Many states will actually state you can't have lower than x percentage of tint. PA says the driver must be visible when x distance from the car. This is really meant to protect the police when approaching a stopped car but this can be interpreted many different ways depending on the LEO.
I have not yet tinted my C7 as the C7 flags on the rear give installers fits. But I did have 30% on my V and would always just keep the drivers window down when a LEO was around. I did not tint my headlights or windshield but did tint my tails until the incident I noted above. I then removed the tint from the tails. Better safe then sued.

I would suggest you read through your insurance policy very closely. There are all kinds of disclaimers in there regarding modifications to your vehicle. Unless the modified taillight assemblies meet DOT specs, you are s o l should it come to litigation.

Good question. You would need to run that past your local or state law enforcement agency. TX just approved the use of amber or white LED accessory lighting on motorcycles. Now that the law has been clarified, citations are being issued for non conforming lighting. ymmv
