Default Mod Poor

I have heard of "House Poor" or "Car Poor" but I have now decided that I am "Mod Poor". After buying the Z51 in February the mod bug bit me, so I did some:

Carbon Fiber Door Kick Sills and Speaker Trim
Stingray Door Sills
Z06 Grill
Z06 Tail Lights
VettteCandy Butterfly Steering Wheel
Blacked Out Side Markers
MGW Shifter
APR Type II Spoiler
Borla ATAK Exhaust
Oil Catch Can
Air/Oil Separator
Under Hood Cap Covers
aFE Cold Air Intake

My next purchase is a sleeping bag so when I am homeless I will at lease have a nice car to sleep in

The strips came with the car from Chev and they are Carbon Flash.

Sharp looking car! At least you'll sleep in style.

How do you like the Borla ATAK exhaust? Do you still have the NPP valves and controls in place and are you satisfied with the way that works?

I like that spoiler! The Z06 taillights also look great.

What does that Z06 grill cost and how much of a PITA is it to install?

Looks sharp, good job! How do you like the shifter? I've read really nothing but good reviews on it.

Yes the NPP valves are still attached. You can tell a big difference from outside the car - especially when it starts in Track Mode Exhaust setting. From inside the car, I notice a lower drone at highway speeds in track mode - not unpleasant, I just notice it more than the NPP system. I am very happy with the product, fit and finish is great.

Z06 grill is about $350. I have an installer here in San Diego that does everything for me (I am mechanically challenged), as I recall it took him about 90 minutes to get it done. I love the look over the standard C7 grill.

The shifter is the best mod I have had done (thanks TSQUIRES) - the shift is crisp and clean, very precise.

The grille costs around $250-300 depending on where you get it. I recommend Cultrag which is where I and many of CF members got theirs. The install wasn't terribly difficult. There are a few videos on YouTube that you can find. I think I used the one with the yellow Corvette. It can be tricky at times. I have pretty limited auto mechanic experience so I figured if I can do it, most people can. It helps to have second person and an electric screw driver/drill with the amount screws that you have to take off.

The grill looks great! I'm also in San Diego (used to live in La Jolla area for 6 years).
How much did he charge you to install it?

Which dealership do you take your car for service?

Okay, so the car is kinda cool...() But is that a flush mounted electrical outlet in your garage floor? Cuz that would be really cool.

"Kinda cool"...??

I wish it was a flush mounted outlet, it is a part of the drainage system.

PM me for the name of the dealer (they are not supporting). As well I use a specialty corvette only mechanic who does ALL of my aftermarket stuff......THE ONLY GUY WHO TOUCHES MY CAR!
