Default Picking the color is the hardest part

I must have built 50 Stingrays this weekend at chevrolet.com website and I still don't know flavor what I want.

I wonder what color changes they will make for '17. For at least the last 5 consecutive years GM has added a new flavor (although some were one year wonders.)

'12 - Carbon flash
'13- Night race black, I mean blue
'14 - Lime rock green, Laguna blue
'15 Daytona sunrise orange
'16 - Corvette racing yellow, long beach red

Imagine, if you will, if they offered laguna blue race stripes/stinger and blue calipers. Those would look killer on shark gray, blade silver, and arctic white!

LeMans Blue Metallic - Bring it back!

But even though I have a 2014 I go on all the time and look at different combo's. I like the new Long Beach Red with Shark Grey scoops and Stinger Stripe and grey interior with the silver wheels. The Calipers are already grey and the whole package looks great...and different! You can also use Night race blue, Laguna blue or black and get the same look.

I was at a car show this weekend .. saw a 2012 Inferno Orange C6 .. They need to bring that back . Color selection for me is easy .. if it shows dirt or swirl marks easily ... I don't want it ..

Indeed! I built a bunch of shark gray with carbon flash stripes/stinger/badge blackout combos. So much to like.

Wondering if anyone here bought night race blue and now regrets it.

I still don't see any current colors I like better than DSOM in the sun. My second choice keeps changing--right now I'd say Laguna Blue.

I thought picking the color was the easy part. After I saw Laguna Blue it was all over. This color really pops in the sunlight. Ordered ash grey interior, nice combo.

For me it came down to Arctic White with red interior or Laguna Blue with Kalahari. Opted for the Laguna Blue, and love it. Would have loved the white as well - very classic.

Sometimes the exterior/interior color combination trumps the exterior color.

I happened to like Laguna Blue the best but wanted a kalahari interior which in my eyes did not go well with the Blue. So I opted for my second choice exterior color-crystal red metallic which goes great, in my eyes, with kalahari.

Daytona sunrise orange is in my top 5 on paper, but I've yet to see it in person and couldn't pull the trigger without laying eyes on it. I've seen inferno and atomic side by side if you can believe that.

On my '13 Grand Sport I gladly paid $900 for crystal red metalic. Then my wife bought a '14 Equinox in the same exact crystal red metalic and it was a $395 option.

So this time I'm trying to stay away from the Corvette color tax. Trying

Still amazed that this dark almost black color doesn't show dirt. I expected to be cleaning after every drive. Not the case, amazing how the dust hides in the metallic flakes. Thinking of a 2017 but hate to change the color. Another NRB???

That is surprising to hear, as I figured NRB would start looking filthy 90 seconds after it was washed, like black as you say.

I have seen it in person and it is indeed stunning in the sun with all that metal flake.

My original pick was cyber gray, then in 15 they changed the cars to shark gray.

Then I was confused about my interior color did I want red or kalahari.

I did place my order for a shark gray kalahari car, but when I got word that I had to make up my mind about the color I changed my mind again.

At that time I was driving a 09 c6 crystal red car with a black interior I liked the color so much I said why not do it again.

My car is usually parked a few feet from where I sit everyday, I watch people passing by it stops many people in their tracks.

I have no regrets on spending the extra cash on the color.

I had a Victory Red C6, sides got black behind wheels on every drive. Night Race Blue blends this residue into the color. I will drive all weekend and not have to clean the sides, still surprised at the amount of residue that was there. Bug splats don't show either.

I have the same problem on my CRM. Thanks for mentioning NRB blends the residue. I never considered that, but will now.

I went with Shark Grey/Kalahari. Beautiful combo, I get a lot of compliments. Classy, yet the car still looks sporty/aggressive thanks to the black wheels. A few Euro-car guys have checked it out at C&C, sporting the 'wow, that's nice' look on their face. Can't blame them. :-)

Great you don't have to wash your car
