Default Scratched rear wheel

Backed up and got on the curb, got out and looked and no scratches on the wheel. Figured if I pulled straight forward to get off the curb I would be okay. Wrong. Fortunately it's a black Z51 wheel but it's scrapped down to the aluminum. Any ideals on how to do a good repair job on this without taking it too a shop. Thanks

You could paint it with touch-up paint if you wanted; I've done it on other (non-C7) wheels. The problem I've had is that these kinds of scratches are often very rough and don't smooth easily. I had to use a file and it is tricky to get right. But it is a cheap fix.

For now use some touch up paint because later all the wheels will have little ding marks from small rocks etc.. Then you can have all your wheels powder coated..

If you are in Austin and can't live with just a touch-up, search Craigslist Austin and type in Corvette. There is a posting for a black rear Z51 wheel. The post is dated 8/27 so not sure if it's still available. Good price on it though. Just a thought.
