Wow! Wasn't expecting so many replies. I'll try to answer everybody.
I don't believe there was any structural damage just from a quick inspection. There is some pieces missing under the front by the skidplate (?). I think it's just a barrier protector. One was completely broken off. Most of the damage is pretty obvious in the picture. It did crack the front quarter panel on the passenger side so that will probably also have to be replaced and it appears to have scratched the mirror housing on the same side. I'm hoping I can get the grill replaced with the Z06 grill. I won't talk to my IA until later today. Don't know if Nevada recognizes DV. I will have to check on that.
Yes, the driver stopped. He felt really bad about the accident, and he did have insurance. BTW, cheapthrills, I wasn't following him. He was coming from the opposite direction. The kayaks blew off as he was coming up to me. There were high winds in the area and one kayak blew right over my car. The second one was wedged firmly against the front end. My daughter was surprised the airbag didn't deploy but the impact just wasn't that great. I was only doing 57 when it happened and actually started to brake before the kayak hit. Just didn't have time to avoid it.
Thanks everybody for all the feedback. Bottom line: cars can be repaired. I'm just glad nobody was injured.

That sucks. I can definitely empathize with that sick feeling. Although mine was much less damage (and self-inflicted ). But I can say it feels much better after the repair shop fixed it as good as new. Hang in there...

Melting Slicks
Not many kayaks down here in S. LA, but those runaway pirogues are hard to dodge. Not to be flippant, as I'm sympathetic with the OP, but like most here feel it'll be like new in no time.
