I agree... Wow! On a much shorter trip with some mountains and the cruise set at 65, I was able to average 35 MPG. Impressive. I'm not usually able to be so conservative with my speed but this was a test. Great mileage... the Corvette gets better highway mileage than our 4 cylinder Honda Accord.

A slippery, lightweight body and tons of low-end torque do wonders for economy. I used to get low 30s regularly in a 2010 C6. I have to imagine with direct injection and AFM a C7 can hit mid 30s on the highway with ease.

You are not driving it right unless it says 7.

Got to give GM props for delivering a high performance sports car that is frugal with gas.

How the heck are you guys doing this? I haven't been able to break 19 mpg in over 1110 miles. Typically averaging 14-15 mpg.

On a fairly long road trip I averaged 30.8, with an overall average of 26 (after 2k for 'break in' miles).

Wow. I get 17 just driving around San Diego with some spirited jaunts. I just did a trip to Vegas at 80 mph and averaged 30 mpg.

Just last week did a round trip in my 2015 A8 coupe from SF Bay Area to Vancouver and got 31.2 for the trip.

So while I'm still waiting for my C7 to be built I'm wondering just how accurate the the computer readout is compared to actual paper and pencil figure?

I just love how gas efficient this car is. about 350 miles left with about 3/4 of the tank left during a recent mini road trip.

Mine is consistently .5 to .8 MPG higher than manual calculation. I figure it every tank....Car has averaged 23.8 over 9000 miles, I started at 3 miles. Last tank 408 miles 16 gallons...

I run in sport most of the time...rural driving most of the time and minimal interstate.
