Default Retrofit 2016 changes to 2015?

Are there retrofit options to install the 2016 deck lid auto-latch and the front view cameras to a 2015 or 2014?

Front view camera does not a retro fit, don't know about the trunk latch, seems more possible, if wires/connections are there. I would definetly add the pull down latch.

Trunk latch is very difficult as well, the wiring harnesses are different.

Might even be cheaper just to trade up.

From what I've read here, neither one seems to be very plausible. You could always add curb alert to help with parking if you need it.

No one knows yet on the cameras. It will take somebody buying the 2016 HMI (infotainment computer) and trying it out. According to a previous post one of the vendors is trying it to see what they learn. We know it will take a dealer to flash the VIN into the HMI unless somebody comes up with a tool to do it (unlikely.)

I don't think anybody has figured out how to buy the cameras yet either, although one post suggested you had to replace the entire front bumper (ack!)

Somebody is trying to retrofit the latch and it is a bigger problem than it sounds. You don't have wires there now, it takes up more room than the existing latch, and the thing isn't just a simple switch. Oh and I think you have to get a new rear computer too. I don't think this retrofit will be viable based on what I saw. Of course anything is possible with enough cash.

In my opinion you're looking for solutions to problems that don't exist. Either issue can be easily solved by a bit of behavior modification. Neither is anything I'd lose sleep over.
