Transmission RPM Problem
I have a '14 auto C7 with 10k miles. If I gun the engine on the freeway and have the RPM's increase from 1.5k to approx. 4-5k, when I release the peddle, the RPM's will sometimes stay at the 4-5k level for 10-15 seconds even tho my foot is off the accelerator (this typically happens when I go from 55mph to 80mph to get on the diamond lane and then let of the gas peddle. This same problem sometimes occurs when I paddle shift from 1st up to 3rd quickly. Once again the RPM's won't drop in 3rd gear even when my foot is off the accelerator. As always, this is an intermittent problem that can never be duplicated at the dealer Anybody out there had this problem?

You haven't provided quite enough info to be sure but I think this is what you are experiencing, normal programmed behavior:

The first time it happened to me was a WTF moment. After I realized it just wanted to keep playing, I was all good with it.
