As previously mentioned I ordered all of the available D shape steering wheels for 2016 so far and I got them all in and examined them and finished up my homework. I have put together a GP for you guys and this price is for a limited time only. Once the orders for the steering wheels slow down I will raise the price 15% to 20%.

The "high gloss suede" steering wheel turned out to be suede with the cap at the bottom in high gloss carbon fiber with "Competition" written on it.

Apparently GM is now offering the carbon fiber dash and steering wheel in the high gloss carbon fiber.

I will sum up what I wrote in the details below.

ALL Automatic and manual leather steering wheels have a Carbon Flash cap at the bottom with no script (writing)

ALL automatic and suede steering wheels have a matte carbon fiber cap (same as the Z06 steering wheel) with "Competition" written on it.

The only high gloss suede steering wheel we have listed comes with the high gloss carbon fiber cap with "Competition" written on it.

I will add a photo of the high gloss "Competition" cap at the bottom of this thread. The script on all of the matte carbon fiber caps is exactly the same, "Competition".

What does cap mean?

The cap is the part on the bottom of the steering wheel like the Z06 had "Z06" written on. The 2016 caps come in Matte Carbon Fiber, Carbon Flash and High Gloss Carbon Fiber.

What does script mean?

The suede steering wheels are coming with the "Competition" writing or script on the cap.

These are the only wheels available at this time. We suspect this one will be available it just has not been fully released

Gene, I would also like to order a 2016 Automatic Black Leather Steering Wheel with gray stitching. I dropped by my local Chevy dealer and the parts department said part # 23231495 was the part number for the 2016 Stingray Steering Wheel with black leather and grey stitching. Could you confirm if this is the correct part # and let me know.

I really want the Carbon fiber overlay .. but do not want Suede wheel. Ugh ... is it possible to order just the Carbon Fiber Competition overlay separate?

Installed mine yesterday. Make sure you have a good impact wrench as my dewalt electric one could not budge it. Ended up going to lowes and picked up a air one that did 700 ft lbs. that made easy work of it.
