How rare is your Corvette (part 2)
#22
Ya. If your going to make a post, make sure you think before you type so no one gets their feelings hurt. We Corvette owners are very sensitive people who don't quiet understand that people may have different opinions then our own

All this talk of "rare" C7's is ridiculous. They will never be rare just like the C6 never will. Maybe uncommon but hardly rare. People have mentioned that some optioned LRG cars were number 1 of a very low number. That's because the color sucks and nobody bought them. Nobody wants them now and nobody will in the future. So whoever has those LRG cars good luck in the future when you you use the selling point of only 1 of 25 made. Their ugly now and they will be ugly 10 years from now.

A car can be "rare", but never become a collectible or classic car. To be a collectible it has to possess certain characters and garner affection.
20+ years down the road the C7 has a much better chance of being considered a collectible car than the C6, for example. At that point paint color is not a factor.

If this topic stayed on the high road, and we could all agree to use the word 'unique' vs. 'rare' don't you think that the customer service reps that frequent the board could pick this up as a customer satisfaction opportunity.
For comparison, Porsche and Corvette make somewhat the same number of cars annually. My experience is that PCNA was able to tell me that a Boxster S I owned a couple of years ago was 'one of one' based only body, top and interior color.
Given all this data is computerized these days, it's not a big issue to come up with a precise matching capability. One should simply be able to input their VIN and get back a ___ out of _____ response.
I do agree with an earlier poster that said 'car guys like this kind of information". I sure would. Heck I may even agree to pay a nominal amountn for it - I'm that curious.

If it's red forget about it.The most popular color. It seems that in 2014 there were more
3LT -Z 51's produced than the 1Lt and the 2LT put together.I might be wrong but it seems like everybody and their brother have the 3LT Z51.As far as the most options that would also
Be the 3LT Z51.
