WOW.....47% bought 3LT / 3LZ. I expected this to be much lower.

Fascinating.
It's fun to try to dissect the various combo's.
I was going nuts trying to find a 2015 arctic white convertible with kalahari leather and silver wheels on AutoTrader. Finally gave up, and custom ordered at the end of March, and have waited 13 loooong weeks and car still hasn't arrived.
But after seeing the metrics: only 4830 convertibles -> 1872 with 2LT package -> 892 arctic white -> 797 with silver wheels -> 344 with kalahari leather -> + factor in 8 speed auto + black top = maybe 90 or so that were produced this way.
Finding the exact car sitting unsold on a dealer lot would have been practically impossible.
My dealer talked me out of getting the blue top, but that would have really made my exact combination maybe 1 of 10 in the world (or less)!

Wow- just noticed the % of cars ordered with NPP exhaust....90%!
They might as well just go ahead and make it standard equipment.

The few stats that really stand out:
Only 19% of sales were Convertibles - way lower than GM projected.
Only 53% of Stingray's were Z51 - down notably from 2014.
NRB and DSOM sold exactly the same 1,417 cars each - tied for last, but only a little behind Blade Silver. Considering DSOM is new, it should have done better.
Machined Wheels - 297: people just don't believe they are worth $1,500.

I have a letter from GM that states my car is a 1 of 1 in Canada. The only 2014 shipped up here with the ZF1 package. That combined with the Crystal Red, exposed CF roof, not likely to run into one for quite some time even in the U.S. since only 142 were built in 2014. That and a couple of bucks will get me a coffee

It still comes in at 75% of non-Z51/non-Z06 orders so it's still pretty high!

The rarity of Corvette C7 2014MY or 2015MY has to be considered quite subjective.
I don't find any of these cars rare, especially with 35,000 (+-) being produced in 2014 and 2015.
Many of the C7's were custom ordered with individual tastes incorporated into the order.
What you can consider with the 2014 & 2015 MY is who would buy my C7 with the color combinations you have choosen or the options that you have choosen.
In order to be rare, I suspect you would have to hold on to the C7 for 40 to 50 years.
For many if selling in the future via a private sale, each owner will need to find a buyer who likes the options, the color and the interior of your C7, not even mentioning mileage that might be on the car.
I seriously doubt that any dealership will consider your C7 or mine rare when conducting a trade-in. They will simply look at the condition of the car, mileage, whether it's a Stingray, Stingray Z51, or Z06 and determine a value.
It is doubtful that any dealer will try to determine, how many C7's where produced in any one color, with a host of options, whether it be stripes, a Z06 grille installed in a Stingray etc. and determine a value.
These sales figure presented are just sales figures and have no bearing on rarity of the vehicle.
Yes, you may have a one of a kind, or a limited C7 of a kind, but that does not make is a "rare" Corvette by any means.
While we as individual C7 owners want to think our C7 may be rare, ask yourself the question, "is my C7 really a rare vehicle?"
In your own mind probably yes, in the dealerships mind as a future trade-in, very doubtful.

I tried and exercise that is not statistically sound but if you start at the top and work down gives some idea on how rare a combo might be- numbers in red are for mine:
37,288 Corvette Stingrays produced in 2014
41% Z51 Coupe – 15,431 cars
1LT – 9%
2LT – 29%
3LT – 61% = 9413 Cars i.e. 61% of 15,431
30% Base Coupe – 11,134
1LT – 23%
2LT – 42%
3LT – 35%
15% Z51 Convertible – 5,680
1LT – 4%
2LT – 23%
3LT – 73%
14% Base Convertible – 5,043
LT – 13%
2LT – 42%
3LT – 45%
Exterior colors break down as:
19% – Torch Red
17% – Arctic White
16% – Black
11% – Cyber Gray
9% – Laguna Blue
8% – Crystal Red Metallic = 735 cars i.e. 8% of 9413 and so on
6% – Velocity Yellow
6% – Blade Silver
5% – Night Race Blue
4% – Lime Rock Green
Interior Colors:
39% – Jet Black Leather
21% – Adrenaline Red
14% – Kalahari = 105 cars
8% – Jet Black Suede
8% – Gray Leather
4% – Brownstone
3% – Kalahari Suede
2% – Gray Suede
1% – Brownstone Suede
Popular Options by RPO and Percentage Built:
CFA Painted Top – 52%
CC3 Transparent Top – 26%
C2Z Visible Carbon Fiber Top – 13% = 14 cars
C2Q Body-Color Dual Roof Package – 6%
C2M Carbon Fiber Dual Roof Package – 4%
FAY Carbon Fiber Instrument Panel Trim – 20%
UY4 Navigation – 82%
MYC 6-speed paddle shift with automatic – 65%, (i.e. 35% M7) = 3 cars
Z51 with Magnetic Ride Control – 36% (i.e. 64% z51 without Mag Shocks) = 2 cars
NPP Performance Exhaust – 84% = ~2 cars
J64 Red Calipers – 44%
J6E Yellow Calipers – 7%
QX3 Chrome Non Z51 Wheels – 64%
QG6 Silver Non Z51 Wheels – 28%
RQ1 Machine Non Z51 Wheels – 7%
Q7T Z51 Black Wheels – 48% = 1 car
Q7E Z51 Chrome Wheels – 34%
Q7S Z51 Silver Wheels – 13%
Perhaps not only 1 (my) car but certainly not very many with the combo I purchased!
Note if you add more or low percentage options this approach can well yield no cars, which is obviously wrong! But for the larger percentages probably not a bad estimate.

I have the rarest exterior color (NRB) with the rarest interior color (Twilight Blue) on a Z07 car that was museum delivery. I have pretty much all the options like the data recorder/nav etc.
I'm pretty sure it's a rare combination. This car gets just unbelievable amounts of attention.

I don't think any of use believe our cars are rare in the sense that a LaFerrari or 250 GTO is "rare." We're just enjoying the relative rarity of a particular color or set of options.
Is my DSOM, 7 MT 'vert "Rare"? No, not really. But with only about 40 of that combination made, it's pretty uncommon, and I'm not likely to run into another one just like it.

I am sure the original poster who is a major Corvette sales dealership would have to agree these cars are not considered "rare" due to the sales figures that he posted.
It is great information, a great converation starter that provides many C7 owners some bragging rights that their specific C7 may be more of a "one of a kind" C7 rather than a "rare" Corvette.
