Blackfire Crystal Seal - ying and yang
So I did my car twice with Blackfire Crystal Seal, and wasn't really feelin' the love...$20 for a small spray bottle and it didn't really look that great. Did it again today, and the love is comin' back...pretty shiny while looking at my car in the garage...maybe I took the recommendation of "a little goes a long way" too literally. Or...maybe it's the gin. Now I'm on the scent....and going to do it again tomorrow morning...maybe I missed something here...
Just saying...

It's hard for me to believe 4 oz. is worth $30. I'll stick with Klasse AIO followed by Klasse sealant. More work, but I enjoy it.

Truly al about what you do before the "seal"...

I know this isn't what you asked, but I feel I've seen the future and I want to make sure everybody is aware (even if they decide against it.)
If you aren't using 22ple or Opti or CQuartz or something like that and you care about how your car looks, you owe it to yourself to go learn more about it. These ceramic nano coatings make a world of difference to keeping a car looking great all the time.
If you are using such a coating, then any waterless wash or quick detail spray works great to keep it looking fantastic.

I get 2 years out of 4 oz and it is not "black ice" , it is BLACKFIRE CRYSTAL SEAL.
And ceramic coatings are truly a great thing ,however you can't just slap them on or you'll screw up your car ,they don't come off . you need to polish them off and the car has got to be 100% perfect before you put it on , because you're going to seal in any imperfections Do some research before you jump in headlong. I use cquartzuk and the optimum products, they all work well.
A 30 min crystal seal done per the instructions:

Sorry for the newb question, but is there any big advantage to doing the a spray wax after a wax OVER the Crystal Seal? I already think the car shines great with the Crystal Seal and don't want to buy more products if it really isn't going to make much of a difference.
Also, sounds like doing the Crystal Seal once a month (or every 4 washes or so) should be sufficient. Right?

I bit the bullet last year and bought the Blackfire products including the microfibre towels and Girots polisher. I used Glens method to a T and couldn't be happier with the results. I have used it on my 89 vette, my 15 vette and 14 Cadillac all with great results. I also use Perfect Details Nanospray detailer with microfibre a couple times a week or when needed.

CarPro is the company, I think, the product brand name is CQuartz. But CarPro has the web site and forum you can go to for questions.
I have CQuartz products on my car but lots of other people use Optimum products to great effect. Blackfire makes a coating too that is popular. I think 22ple has fallen out of favor lately with detailers but I'm not sure why.
You might want to read the forums at Autopia.org (http://www.autopia.org/forums/forum.php) or Autogeek.net (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/) to learn more. Those forums aren't as well organized as I'd like, but there is a ton of great info there.

I have been hearing that Blackfire is the best for black cars. But like Glen has always said
It has all together to do with the prep,Clay bar etc.I'm thinking get it perfect use the
Blackfire and then top it off with Cquartz.

It is expensive. A small bottle for $80.00 will do many cars and many applications.
I use this exclusively on all my premium sports cars.
With any nano ceramic paint coating it is all about how the surface is prepped before applying any ceramic paint coating.
Just google.... Pinnacle Black Diamond Paint Coating ......for more information.
Here's how it is applied......
Help this helps other CF members who might be interested in learning how a ceramic paint coating is applied.
I have also attached a few photos of one of my recent detail jobs on a rare 1965 Sunbeam Tiger V8 after clay barring, prep polishing and applying the Pinnacle Black Diamond Paint Coating. The shine and reflective qualities are super impressive.
