White cars not easy to keep clean

First white car I've ever owned. It has thus far proven to be the hardest to keep clean. Black is much easier.
Cant' go 2 miles without having black brake dust everywhere.
I like the car, but this constant cleaning is wearing on me.
No real answer here, just my observation. I think I'll go back to black.

First thing I did when I picked up my white C7 was to order and install a set of ceramic pads and I have no dusting issues. If you track your car you need the stock or upgrade racing pads. If you are an old fart like me, the ceramics are awesome...virtually no dusting.

I'm with you and agree the brake dust is everywhere making the car seem dirty all the time and once you wipe a spot the dust streaks and you end up needing to wipe down the whole car. I have read both good and bad on the forum regarding the "less dust" brake pads Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™. Anyone that has them on their C7, please comment on whether or not you think the $326 for the less dust brake pads is the way to go or not. Actual owners who are happy or unhappy with them, thanks.

I have a white C7 in the garage and a black Colorado on order (supposed to arrive next week). I guess I will get a first hand opportunity to compare the two..

White is easy to keep clean and nice looking, one of the best. It is cool and safe color day or night. I have own 3 Black corvettes and all I can say is no more for me. This Shark gray has got any color beat for looking clean. If you track the car with a Auto then white does not get the paint hot is the sun as a dark color.

Funny but I'm feel just the opposite...
My last car was black and looked great when clean but that ended after a mile or two. (still looked good but not great)
My AW C7 seems to stay clean for weeks and I'm one that is known for spending to much time keeping my cars pristine.

I think that most car collect dust/dirt at the same speed. My Machine Silver '09 was by far the one that showed dirt the least, the red, dark blue, black and green ones were the worst. With black being the leader for shortest time looking good. My new Arctic White stays looking good for several days but does show heavy dust on the rear of the car. Living in Austin is a pain as the surrounding country is mostly limestone quarries and this creates a lot of dust, hard to keep the car clean hear but the Arctic White is easy to clean or touch up.

I agree with those saying white is really easier.....I have a black company car and it is a bear to keep clean looking. White hides the dirt (and imperfections/swirls, etc).

I owned a black C5 for nine years and it was by far the hardest to keep looking clean. Just minutes after washing it the dust would be noticeable and a few hours of sitting outside on a windy day and it would be insanely dirty looking already. On the flip side, my very first Corvette (and 84 that I owned back in 1991) was white and it always looked clean, even if it hadn't been washed in days. I will never ever ever own a black car again, it's just too frustrating to see how bad the dust shows, and as well every single scratch and swirl is noticeable on a bright sunny day. The only time I found black to look perfect was at night or just before the sun sets.
My LeMans Blue C6 is much easier to keep clean than black, although still not as good as the lighter colors like white or silver. You can't beat those two colors for the ability to hide normal dust (I"m not talking about brake dust, as that issue can be solved with better brake pads)

I had a black car that I loved but drove me nuts to keep clean. I swore never again. I am surprised to know that white presents a problem. I have a silver vehicle that is very forgiving of dirt and dust.

The rear end tends to get black stuff from exhaust gas circulating (after a 20 minute drive even) as well as the outer two exhaust tips, but other than the occasional bug splatter it's not too bad (garage kept, never in the rain though)
