What do you suppose they'll stick you for on the new painted base wheels, I really like them.
Thanks for the link!

Meaning cost? If so they are the standard no extra charge option in painted silver. Black is likely to be $495, machined $1495, and chrome $1995. Just like the previous base wheels.

I wasn't clear enough on my post. I am thinking of replacing my base '15 wheels, thought I might go with the new base wheels in black. To me they are as good looking as any of the aftermarket wheels I have seen in the 18-19 sizes.

I like the new wheels. Not a bad change for the car.

I agree, 100%. I was not a fan of the base wheels on the 2014/15 model years.

And is it clear that the Z51 wheels are going to be the same for 2016? If so, the base and the Z51 wheels are somewhat similar, in the sense that they're both split spoke.

I'm not a fan of the new 'Accessory' wheels, at least not based on the photos I've seen so far. I don't like the offset spokes. I prefer the spokes that go straight into the center of the wheel. Just my $0.02

You'll pay a fortune for those 2016 wheels if you're planning on buying them from a dealer. The retail price on factory OEM wheels from GM are outrageous, you're best bet is to wait for someone to sell them used, as they will certainly sell for a fraction of the price.

My little way of paying back this terrific forum: I was going to post another photoshop of an Arctic White C7 with these wheels in black. Since my order is for an AW C7 my Photoshops have always used this color. Then I started thinking that other members might want to see these wheels on a C7 configured their way. So if you post an image of a C7 configured as you would or have ordered it and let me know which wheel color you'd like to see on it, I'll do my best to mock it up for you.

I'm still floored by these wheels. IMO they're every bit as nice as the Z51 wheels and I actually prefer them. Between that, the two tone interior, and new tech features (curb view cameras and CarPlay), GM really refreshed the car fantastically this year. I am so excited to receive mine! TPW is 6/22!!!!!

Darn....I was secretly hoping that I'd hate the base 2016 rims. They look fantastic- prefer them over the 2015 base and even the Z51 and Z06 wheels.

My 2015 is being built on 6/8. Anyone want to trade their 2016 rims for mine?

Aside from the TSW Nurburgring (which look a lot like the Motorsports Accessory wheels), there just aren't many decent 18-19 alternatives.

That is the first picture I have seen of the new Long Beach Red. That's my next color, after having NRB. Color choice is the hardest part of ordering a Corvette. I am not crazy about the red top color, still like black and a matching black interior.

2016 Base wheel will probably be around 750.00 to 850.00 per wheel at the dealer.

This one's for rmorin1249. He wanted to see:

Laguna Blue
New silver base wheels
Body colored vents

To each his own. I prefer the 2015 base wheels to these.

I'm glad I didn't wait. I'm happier driving my C7 this summer than waiting to get a '16 this fall.

Well done. These wheels will look better in person and just as nice as the silver Z51 wheels. This design is a nice upgrade over the previous base wheels. GM is doing a great job with the incremental improvements to the Stingray. Thanks!

Sure. Post a pic configured as you'd like it and I'll add the wheels. Full side view as above please.

You're welcome.

Please excuse the gap between the rear tire and the wheel well. I didn't notice it, apparently the car is parked on an uneven surface.
