Default Broke 36MPG in Eco mode

Just passed break in and averaged 36.1 MPG at 65 MPH over 7 miles (A8 trans)today trying to see how high i could get the numbers to go,driving really steady,,heres the photo, please excuse the blurry photo , i was driving and of course couldnt check it at the time..
When i bought a C7 i didnt know that it would be an economy car....capable of 0-60 in under 4 seconds. Saving gas too. Awesome unexpected perk! Love eco mode,,even when in eco, when you stomp it to pass or lose someone in your rearview mirror, no more eco mode,,instant growl...LOVE THIS CAR SO FAR!

Pretty amazing mileage for a performance car.

I've never put my '14 in Eco mode and never will.

Usually i dont either,,,i prefer SPORT MODE,I only wanted to see if i could do better than 30 MPG which is what i read on here,,and that was no problem! I usually never take it out of SPORT. I love that mode and even when i drive it like i stole it,,my average MPG around town is never less than 19! Average on the highway when in sport mode and when i am screwing around having fun passing everyone is still around 25 to 28 mpg..when i was growing up only a Honda Civic or Accord could get into the high 20's and they didnt look or perform like a C7..this car is amazing.
Who will beat 36.1? Pissing contest! Make sure you average 65 MPH for at least 5 miles to be fair..

You can also do it in touring mode (automatic). Want to see an unrealistic number? Next time you're in the mountains go down a long downhill ride.

I don't see any dichotomy in the C7.
Eco just one of many nice capabilties.

Default Eco mode

I use it occasionally, and have never seen a significant improvement in mileage, so I mostly stay in sport or track.

When I first got my Stingray we went on a trip up the St. Augustine and from here there's a shortcut back way and for the first 50 miles I got a best of 33.6. But, here's the dig...once I made it to I -4 I had to get above 65 mph and my mileage dropped down to 29.9 by the time we got there. Plus, I also moved from Touring to Sport. Later on a few longer trips and staying on the interstates I did average 30.3 so it is possible. I'm more than pleased with the gas mileage and much more with the overall performance. Most people don't believe us when we tell them...but who cares ?

I have a C7 7speed and have recorded 25 and 50 mile averages in the 40's This was recorded in southern Illinois on I-55 between St. Louis and Springfield, IL which is fairly level. I was in Eco mode with cruise set at 65 mph. I very seldom use Eco mode when I am driving locally. Usually in Sport mode. I now have 27,500 miles on the C7 and my average mileage for the life of the car is 25.7 mpg. Other than a couple of long vacation trips last year, most of the driving has been local.

Meh... Coming home from Museum delivery during the home stretch, cruise set at 70, peaked at 49.7. Had several stretches in Iowa and Nebraska where it was registering 36 - 38 at 75 - 80 (also on cruise).

Car gets amazing mileage, can also suck it down pretty quickly when you push the loud pedal.

man you guys are impressive with your MPGs lol...

I'm usually driving in sport mode around town and put it on eco on the highway and set cruise control 5-10 above speed limit. I don't really get better than 20mpg per tank best I think in 50 miles was 26mpg for me
