Default How large is the Bash?

Not sure where to discuss the Bash, so I'll ask this here: How big is the Bash, in attendance, compared to the 20th Anniversary event last year? I'm curious, because for the 20th, the NCM posted maps of parking areas, but I see nothing like that for the Bash. Also, I see plant tour slots are still available. Is this a much smaller event? Thanks!

It is usually 1000-2000 I think. There is a lot going on, so not everyone is in one place usually. Even with the expanded parking, I've seen it full. Maybe the Museum could answer the question of how many are registered.

Thanks! Also, does this also become a media event with introduction of the 2016 cars?

Only for Corvette people and publications. But the release of the next years model is a big part of the Bash. (Naturally a bigger deal when the Corvette is changing models)

When I spoke with a person at the museum last week she said they had around 700 registered. As always, it's going to be GREAT. See you there!

700 registered plus always have some late minute arrivals. It'll be fun.
See you there, Mike.

The bash is a great event...I've been many times. It gives you the opportunity to speak with all the engineers and various higher ups, in very comfortable and direct atmosphere. The older fellas asking absurd questions gets frustrating...like what material the LSD clutches are made from, and what torque various bolts are...totally ridiculous questions...but there is some fun to it.

Personally I haven't gone anymore recently because I just feel very disconnected most times. The crowd is overwhelmingly older and the cars are very stock and really not the focus outside. I hope that the C7 getting into more hands "youngs up the mix" a bit but...til then I'm out for now. Last bash i went to, the old guy with the hat yelled in my face about as loud as he can because I didn't drive in the direction he pointed to park (as the guy in front of me pointed a different direction)...despite almost being angered enough to get out and whip his ***, my friend with me just simply said...no wonder young guys don't buy these cars.

I love the bash...the track is now built which is even better...I'm looking forward to many good years there...but my last trip really left a bad taste.

Went last year and was quite easy to navigate all functions. Even sink hole. Going this week with son and should be good as we are doing plant tour again. As far as the old guy comments, we are there, and if ya cant hang with us, stay home. Younger folk will rank higher as they can afford this type of car. thats the fun of it. There are all ages and the corvette crowd doesnt pick favorites.

Does it really matter if we are young or old, isn't the whole point the common interest of the Corvette? To me its just being the people who share the same interest. Could care less about the age, I care more about the knowledge I can gain, and sharing what I have learned.

This has gone to far....We are all part of the same interest, corvette. He who choses not to go to Bash, loses. Its fun, lots of good people regardless of age and something for everyone. Life is too short, enjoy it while you can

Gee, I just asked about how many people (and cars) to expect at the Bash, not how old they would be. I'm an old guy, but hope to see young people there too. But, I guess it's a lot easier for old retired guys and gals to go to an event like this, then the young ones who still are working hard for a living. ( I hope that's not a controversial statement!)

Hope to see you at the Bash, young or old!

This is my first Corvette, and my first Bash. Looking forward to it. Hoping to meet fellow Corvette enthusiasts of all ages and looking forward to seeing some great cars.
